With an average usage of 41 times per user, Samsung Pay was the top mobile payments app last month in South Korea, according to a local app ranker WiseApp.

It’s worth mentioning that the research only took into account Android phone users as iOS usage is said to be pretty low in South Korea. Samsung Pay has a total of 2.59 million users in the country.

The service – which is currently available in the US, South Korea, and China, and due to arrive in Singapore this quarter – had a total of 5 million users globally in February.

Apple Q2 2016 financial results show first ever YoY fall in iPhone sales

Apple’s 2016 Q2 results (that’s the quarter ending in March) are out showing a revenue slowdown for the company. Quarterly revenue was $50.6 billion compared to $58 billion for the same period last year. As a result, net income is also down to $10.5 billion from $13.6 billion from Q2 2015.

The reason behind the revenue decrease are the lower iPhone, iPad and Mac sales. iPhone sales declined by 16% compared to Q2 last year (first YoY drop in the iPhone history) from 61.2 million to 51.19 million units. This lead to a drop in revenue of north of $8 billion or 18.42% (from $40.28 billion to…

Motorola has launched the Moto 360 Sport in India. The Sport is a variant of the second generation Moto 360 with a handful of changes.

One of the differences is the AnyLight display, which works as normal LCD indoors and outdoors uses ambient light to illuminate itself, making it perfectly visible under direct sunlight and also saving some power. The Sport also has integrated GPS, so you don’t need to carry your phone with you to track your movements. A heart rate sensor is included just like on the regular Moto 360 but the strap is made of silicon and is sweat-resistant.

The…

Full deployment of Droid Turbo 2 Marshmallow update begins

Motorola has announced that the company has started “full deployment” of the Droid Turbo 2 Marshmallow update. The announcement – as usual – came in the form of a Google+ post from the company’s senior director of software product management David Schuster.

But, didn’t the roll-out start early last month, you might ask. Well, that’s a valid question, which unfortunately Schuster didn’t answer in his post directly, although we assume that the term “full deployment” means that not all Droid Turbo 2 units received the update at that time.

So yeah, this seems to be (and we really hope…
