Samsung Galaxy C5 is now portrayed in leaked press renders

The Galaxy C5, part of the new C series from Samsung, has been leaking a lot lately, and today is no different. The phone has already been spotted in TENAA’s usual low-quality pictures, and also in not one, not two, but three rounds of hands-on images. So you might be wondering how long you have to wait before you see it in official press renders.

In turns out there’s no waiting needed anymore, because that’s exactly what’s been leaked today. The renders you can see below show the C5 in gold, being very proud of its all-metal construction.

Apparently the Galaxy C5 should become…

Get a Lumia 950 XL and Microsoft Display Dock for just $499 until May 30

Microsoft is back with yet another price cut for one of its high-end Lumias. This time we’re talking about the US and the Lumia 950 XL.

You can purchase the bigger 950 model from Microsoft’s online store for just $499 until May 30, and that’s $150 less than its recommended retail price. It’s also slightly cheaper than it’s been back in February through another special offer (though that time from a third party retailer).

But wait, there’s more. If you get a Lumia 950 or 950 XL until June 30, you also receive a free Microsoft Display Dock, which lets you use the much-hyped Windows 10…

OnePlus 3 specs confirmed by new leak

Just a few hours ago we saw the first selfie captured by the upcoming OnePlus 3, and now a list of the phone’s basic specs has been outed by none other than famed leakster Evan Blass.

According to him, the next OnePlus flagship smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 16 MP rear camera, the Snapdragon 820 chipset, 64GB of storage, as well as NFC support.

NFC was notably absent from the OnePlus 2, so it’s good to see it included here. Blass has previously mentioned that the display will be of the AMOLED variety, and that the handset will ship with a 3,000 mAh…

New update hitting T-Mobile Galaxy S7/S7 edge units

Just a few weeks after rolling out an update that brought along support for FM radio playback, T-Mobile has started pushing out another update to Galaxy S7 and S7 edge units on its network.

Weighing in at around 43MB, the update doesn’t bring along any new features but does include some security related improvements – “Google Security update” as per the change-log. Reportedly, the update fixes a critical software issue that, if exploited, can erase the complete memory of your handset.

As is the case usually with OTA roll-outs, it may take some time for the update to hit your device….

OnePlus 3 selfie camera sample released

The OnePlus marketing campaign is picking up speed, with new bits on the OnePlus 3 being released daily. We already have a pretty official-looking “leaked” render from last week, and yesterday it was revealed that you’d be able to purchase the new smartphone in VR.

OnePlus 3 selfie sample (click for full size)

Today we’re being treated to a sample photo shot with the OnePlus 3’s front camera. Shared by company founder and CEO Liu Zuohu on Weibo, the single image is obviously taken in some pretty dim lighting, so it shouldn’t be judged too harshly. It’s also been subjected to…

will.i.am launches i.am+ EPs Bluetooth earphones exclusively on Apple Store

Musician will.i.am, more commonly found these days releasing tech products than music albums, has come up with yet another device – a pair of Bluetooth wireless earphones.

The i.am+ EPs, as they are called, are a pair of single cord in-ear earphones that run behind your neck like the Jaybird X2 or the Plantronics Backbeat. But while these two are designed to be used during workouts, the EPs are meant for casual listening, as they don’t have a secure fit design or sweat resistance.

What you get instead is a spun metal finish on the back of each speaker that resembles vinyls. A…

FC Barcelona Edition of the Oppo F1 Plus leaked

Oppo’s partnership with Spanish football club Barcelona is a few days away from entering its second year. In 2015 it gave us the Oppo R7 Plus FC Barcelona edition, and today we hear that the Oppo F1 Plus (or Oppo R9 as it’s known on its home market in China) will get the same treatment.

Whether it will be marketed as R9 or F1 Plus (after all it should be available globally, so the latter might make more sense), the limited edition will be available in red or gray color schemes, a new leak reveals. On top of the exclusive paint jobs, the club’s logo and an inscription on the back will tell…

Thinner, lighter MacBook Pro expected later this year

Apple’s MacBook Pro is expected to get a major revamp later this year, according to 9to5Mac.

One of the changes is a thinner and lighter design. The current MacBook Pro design has been around since 2012 and is due for a refresh. The new design is said to draw inspiration from the new MacBook, and will also feature new metal injection molded hinges.

Another change is said to be the addition of an OLED panel, that will replace the row of function keys above the keyboard. These will display different functions, and should change according to application. A TouchID sensor is also…

LG trademarks the X5 moniker, cheaper G5 maybe?

LG has recently filed for a trademark on the X5 moninker with the Korean intellectual property rights authority. It’s not just the name that’s being registered, there’s also a logo, with a notched X and a smaller 5 to go with it.

LG’s X-series currently has the X cam and the X screen models, the two positioned somewhere in the midrange. Meanwhile, the LG G5 SE exists, but it’s an alternative to the proper G5 for certain markets, and not really a model to be sold parallel to the G5.

It would make sense then for the LG X5 to be a more affordable version of the G5, inbetween the the…
