If you're not able to download Minecraft properly and you're seeing an crash report that looks like the below error message, it's because of ByteFence, which is known to cause problems with Minecraft. The only way to fix it is to uninstall it.

A typical error looks like this:

Error details: Attempting to move successful download to C:/Users\User\AppData\Roaming.minecraft\assets\objects\somethingsomethingsomething The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process

Over at #minecrafthelp we've received thousands of reports of people not being able to download Minecraft because of this. If you're having the same problem, check if you have ByteFence installed. (Other antiviruses can also cause this – try uninstalling it and play MC to see if problem persists.)

In my hunt to find the "perfect" seed for a server I'm starting up for my friends, I spend about 3 hours searching through over 9,000 known quad witch hut seeds for seeds that have all rare biomes near spawn, using a super sophisticated method know as actually looking at every single seed image.

Just a note: by 3500 blocks from spawn I mean the actual distance when traveling diagonally, so in actuality I am taking about -2500, -2500 to 2500, 2500.

I used /u/puppynosee's list of 16,000 quad witch hut seeds to get me started:

Within this 5,000 x 5,000 block area (2,500 blocks from 0,0 in all directions) you can get the Adventuring Time achievement.

Some other notable things about this seed:

• There is a quad slime chunk very close to the quad witch huts around (-760, 1200) (mineatlas link) and there are at least a couple of other quad slime chunks within 2500 blocks of spawn

• You spawn in a Mega Taiga

• Two mooshroom islands within 2500 blocks of spawn.

• Unusually large Mesa biome

• Mesa Bryce (2400, 1912)

• Savannah M (500,2200)

• Sunflower plains north of spawn

• Flower Forest (-400,1500), also near a sunflower plains

As far as I can tell, the only overworld biomes NOT within 2500 blocks of 0,0 are Mega Spruce Taiga, Redwood Taiga Hills, Mesa Plateau F M, and Jungle M (although there is a Jungle M just 500 blocks further (2450,3024)).
