Now Introducing: CelCraft! A Minecraft Resource Pack Inspired by Mojang’s Promo Art.

Sorry about how long this took! Sickness + technical issues held me up a bit, but it's better late than never.

Now, some of you might remember a post from 22 days ago.

This was a post mimicking the "What is the texture pack from this promo art?" posts, which in reality was showcasing my pack.

Obviously not gonna do that here, I don't wanna fool too many people, this time I'm giving it to all of you straight up. 🙂

This pack features:

A whole new look to all (about 99%) of the blocks in the game!

Outlines around the edge of blocks via changing their models!

Blocks that emit light no longer have shading on them, Glowstone's going to be brighter than ever!

This pack DOESN'T feature:

Items, these will be coming kinda soon.

Most entities, these will be next version.

Shulker Boxes, these will also be next version.

Glazed Terracotta, oh boy these will be fun to texture.

Here are some preview/comparison images for those interested:

Now, I know some of you have shown distaste towards the dark dark outlines…I will have a version with softer, and even one without outlines ready on next release. 🙂

It should also be noted that these outlines look MUCH better with Optifine's anti-aliasing!

Well, here it is.

If you have any criticisms, do please tell me!

Enjoy!

Dear Mojang. Please remove feeding chocolate to birds to make them breed. Millions of kids will play this game. You picked the one food in the game that will kill them to make them breed and tame them. via /r/Minecraft

Dear Mojang. Please remove feeding chocolate to birds to make them breed. Millions of kids will play this game. You picked the one food in the game that will kill them to make them breed and tame them.

I get that you want to give chocolate chip cookies a use in the game, but literally millions of kids will play this game and chocolate and pet parrots are common enough that this will cause a problem. There is no question about that. You can't tell me some 6 year old is going to play Minecraft and then try to feed their Mom's 45 year old Macaw chocolate chips or a chocolate chip cookies.

It's a minor change that will have major consequences. Thanks

‘Perfect Storm’ of Conditions Helped Cyberattack Succeed by THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

The cyberextortion attack hitting dozens of countries spread quickly and widely thanks to an unusual confluence of factors: a known and highly dangerous security hole in Microsoft Windows, tardy users who didn’t apply Microsoft’s March software fix, and a software design that allowed the malware to spread quickly once inside university, business and government networks.
