A gamemode I made up if you want a challenge
(Best played in hardcore)
Description
In Minecraft, it feels like nighttime isn't a problem anymore after you've got a decent weapon and some armour. Neither does caving: I've died more often by falldamage or lava than mobs.
That's why I made this gamemode. At night, everything is pitch black – only spider and enderman eyes are visible. Torches only light ~2.5 blocks.
Here is a GIF I made showing the day/night cycle and here is an image of what a cave with torches looks like (at day).
Setup
(Make sure to close Minecraft before doing this)
Search for %AppData% -> .minecraft -> options.txt -> change 'gamma' to -2.0 (recommended)
