PSA: Custom skins, resource packs, add-ons, and worlds are all FREE on MC:PE/W10

Amidst the chaos over the announcement of the Marketplace for the C++ editions of Minecraft, many have made statements such as this:

I'll load up the mobile version maybe once every other month, otherwise it's Java for life. Free skins, better mods, no F2P style shop, more versatility…

And this:

Behold all the things you could have for free on PC version that now cost you money!

Many seem to believe that in order to use skins, maps, resource packs, and add-ons at all, you must pay money. They believe no free options for these things exist on MC:C++

In actuality, ever since the introduction of these features, using your own free alternative has been an option. It's true, you are able to buy skins and other things in the store. Yet using your own content for free remains perfectly viable and condoned by Mojang. Just visit a site like mcpedl.com, and you'll see just how much free content is out there for MC:C++.

I'm not sure exactly why this misinformation about charging for everything is so commonly held, but I figured I needed to address it at any rate.
