Why even remove Negative Amplifiers? via /r/Minecraft

Why even remove Negative Amplifiers?

Hello!

I just noticed the devs 'fixed' Negative Amplifiers in 1.11 (that's when the Amplifier tag of an effect is between 128 and 255, FYI)

As a CBUser, RPG Lover and Mapmaker, I don't like this.

What If one had to make a potion which, for example:

"Gives you Particle-Free Invisibility and slight speed buff, but increases damage taken"

The "increase damage taken" part is no longer achievable in 1.11, since it would require a Negative Resistance Effect. So is Jump Prevention; extremely high levels of Jump Boost would totally block a player from jumping in 1.9/1.10

Yes, I could just stick with 1.10 and stop complaining, but what when time goes on? Should I miss updates cause my work is limited by such annoyance?

Let's be honest, Negative Amplifiers don't hurt anyone. They never gave anyone problems. Let them be, they are VERY useful to people like me who likes to add a little 'spice' in Vanilla.

What do you think?
