Resource Pack/Texture Pack artists, PLEASE STOP USING SHADERS (a tiny rant)

Seriously! It's the one damn thing that bugs me the most! Yes, I understand you want your pack to look breathtaking and beautiful and awesome and all not broccoli but still! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY STOP!

Why am I saying this?

I look at it as a form of false advertising, and not actually letting the resource pack speak for itself, instead relying on shaders. If you're going to put shader pictures up as teasers for your packs, INCLUDE REGULAR NON SHADER PICTURES AS WELL.

Swear to God.

When I first started playing and learned about resource packs, I was really excited as it opened up a new element for me…imagine how disappointed I was when NOTHING looked like the pictures. Of course, as I said I was new, didn't know a damn thing, which included knowledge of shader mods.

However, in the years since, my opinion hasn't changed, it's almost like click bait, making us wonder exactly HOW GOOD it is, just for you to get some damn adsense/adfly/adwhatever revenue and finding out it's pretty much crap without shaders and couldn't stand on it's own.

So please, either stop using shaders when you post previews, OR, as a middle ground, post pictures without shaders as well.
