[Discussion] 1.11 is confirmed to be an ‘Exploration Update’, so what would you like to see?
Exploration is definitely something Minecraft sorely needs to expand upon and 1.11 is apparently going to focus on just that.
So, what sorts of things would you like to see from this update? Personally I'd like a handful of new challenging dungeons on par with Ocean Monuments, End Cities, Strongholds and Nether Fortresses.
I think the most important thing is that we need more reasons to go out into the unknown. Exclusive uncraftable loot (like Elytra), mobs (like Mooshrooms, Guardians, etc…) and blocks (like Packed Ice) would definitely help. But something the game really lacks at the moment is on-going and sustainable challenges and goals.
Tackling an Ocean monument is fun once or twice, but what could be added to the game so that there's always something to do? Something that's fun again and again and again?
