Over the last few years, VMware has expanded its offerings to include software-defined storage and network virtualization to add to its server virtualization capabilities. Subsequently, VMware has witnessed massive growth in recent years, with its revenues growing from under $2 billion in 2009 to $6.6 billion in 2015.
