And yes, this IS legit. You can find it at "assets/resourcepacks/vanilla/images/gui/titleOSX.png" in the APK. (You'll need to decompile it first.)

I'm going to guess this is a very-quickly-thrown-together-and-rather-tongue-in-cheek placeholder image for the now pretty-much-confirmed OS X (or rather, macOS, as its new name goes) version of the C++ Edition of Minecraft that they are apparently working on. The Education Edition is already on OS X, so I'd expect to see this version of MCPE come out fairly soon. (Interestingly, commands also came to EE in 0.14 and are now coming to MCPE/Win10 in 0.16.)

That, or this is some cruel joke by the devs that they expected us to find, but I don't think they would tease something like this if they didn't plan on it happening. 😛

And no, there aren't any Linux edition placeholder images yet, sorry. 😦
