Intel Scores Its First Big Autonomous Car Win With BMW, But Nvidia Is Still Ahead

The entire tech industry is coalescing around the autonomous car. Especially for chip makers, this is where they see the next major wave of growth is coming from. On Friday, the world’s biggest chip maker, Intel, announced it finally snagged its first autonomous car deal in a partnership with BMW along with Mobileye, an Israel-based autonomous driving system provider. The three companies said they plan to bring a fully autonomous car into production by 2021.
