Deal: Matte Gold Nexus 6P is $50 off at Best Buy, both 32GB and 64GB available

Gold is definitely the color du jour for tech gadgets, and Huawei got in on the action with a new Matte Gold edition of the Nexus 6P at CES this year.

Today Best Buy is offering the first discount we have seen on the newest and regally colored Nexus 6P with $50 off the 32GB and 64GB models, bringing them down to $449 and $499, respectively.

The Nexus 5X is seeing its price slashed repeatedly, including a new low price we posted yesterday, but that hasn’t been the case for its big brother, so $50 is a notable discount on the Nexus 6P. The 6P is a fantastic piece of hardware, and while I’m not going to be trading in for the gold model, I can definitely see the appeal.

Inbox by Gmail getting quick answer cards to speed things up

Google does love cards, and its showing off that adoration with brand new “quick answer cards” within its Inbox by Gmail email app.

The latest update, which Google has just announced, is primarily focused on speeding things up when it comes to searching for content within the email app. With the quick answer cards, you’ll be able to search for a specific piece of content — like an address or an online order — and have the most relevant results show up in a card that pops up at the top of the search results. When you get that card, more often than not you’ll be able to tap on a link to gain more information, like tracking information for that online order you’re keeping an eye on.

On top of that, Inbox now has a “Top results” section within search, which will show you emails by relevance. Google’s hoping you won’t have to dig too far into your emails anymore thanks in part to the quick action cards, but if you do, these results should help out.

Inbox by Gmail recently added trip sharing in a previous update, so it’s good to see Google keeping up with new features for its other email app.

Apple Watch (2016) to enter mass production in Q2

The second-generation Apple Watch is planned to enter mass production in the second quarter of the year. The information comes from sources in the upstream supply chain, cited by DigiTimes. According to the sources, Quanta Computer is going to be the sole manufacturer of the smartwatch.

Originally, Apple considered splitting some of the production efforts to Foxconn Electronics but decided to keep all of the orders with Quanta. The reason is that Apple doesn’t anticipate high enough sales volumes for the second-generation Apple Watch.

Reportedly, the company has reduced its shipment forecast twice – once in the fourth quarter in 2015 and now, in 2016. Nevertheless, the company still hold over 50% of the smartwatch market at the end of…

El LG K4 aparece listado en la web oficial de LG

Hoy hemos tenido un buen día para LG al saber el número de smartphones vendidos en 2015, justamente 59,7 millones de teléfonos, y lo que sería una nueva filtración sobre el próximo LG G5, del cual ahora ya podemos confirmar que tendrá doble cámara. Un día al que ahora podemos bordar con una tercera noticia que va relacionada con uno de esos terminales de entrada de los que la propia LG ha hablado cuando ha proporcionado la cifra total de móviles distribuidos en 2015. Así que se mete de lleno ya en el 2016, para intentar seguir con esa constancia que ha sido una de sus mayores virtudes en estos últimos años, desde que volviera a sus fueros con el LG G2, un terminal que supo dar con lo buscado por muchos usuarios.

En el CES pasado, donde LG tuvo su presencia, presentó a los nuevos K7 y K10. Dos terminales de los que hemos hablando en anteriores entradas y que se predisponen como otros teléfonos a tomar en cuenta y a los que hemos podido sumar el K4, K5 y K8, los cuales estarán pronto con nosotros, aunque la verdad, el K4 ya podemos casi decir todo de el como sucede en esta entrada de hoy. El LG K4 ha surgido desde el sitio web oficial de LG en Rusia, incluso cuando se pensaba que no estaría todavía disponible, así que estamos ante otra de las sorpresas del día desde este fabricante coreano que quiere marcar un gran año debido a los numerosos terminales que irán llegando para sumergir en una gran experiencia Android a los usuarios que se decidan por sus compras.

Un teléfono de entrada

El LG K4 se caracteriza por una pantalla de 4,5 pulgadas con resolución 854 x 480 IPS, 1 GB de memoria RAM y 8 GB de memoria interna expandible mediante tarjeta micro SD. Se le puede echar en cara que solamente tenga 8 GB de almacenamiento interno cuando esta capacidad, a día de hoy, con un sistema operativo como es Lollipop y lo que sería Marshmallow, se intuye como muy escasa.

Aparte de lo que es la pantalla, la RAM y la memoria interna, el K4 funciona bajo un procesador de MediaTek, justamente el MT6735M de cuatro núcleos o quad-core, y una batería de 1.940 mAh. La cámara ubicada en la parte trasera del teléfono es de 5 megapíxeles y una de 2 MP en la parte frontal para poder realizar unas selfies normalitas.

El teléfono ofrece conectividad 4G LTE y dos ranuras para tarjetas SIM. Android 5.1 Lollipop es la versión que llega preinstalada en el teléfono como la base para la UI propia de LG instalada encima del software.

De las dimensiones conocemos que tendrá 131,9 x 66,7 x 8,9 mm y que tendrá un peso de 120 gramos. Un teléfono de entrada y que podemos esperar que llegará a un precio bastante asequible, que podría rondar los 120-140 euros sin problemas.

Por este precio, de todas formas, LG se queda corto si lo comparamos al Lenovo Lemon 3 o al propio Redmi 3 de Xiaomi, aunque con este fabricante podemos tener la confianza de acceder al soporte que ofrece en nuestro país. Aunque esto mismo ya no les importe a muchos usuarios que prefieren pasarse por una tienda de importación para acceder los teléfonos de Xiaomi o confiar en alguna de esas marcas nuevas que han demostrado que saben hacer muy bien las cosas. Podría decir el caso de Huawei, pero ahora mismo esta compañía se encuentra a otro nivel, aunque sea una de las preferidas para acceder a terminales de gran calidad y muy buen precio.

Esperamos pronto tener las confirmaciones oficiales del resto de la gama K. Una gama que intentará traer ciertas calidades a un precio no tan desorbitado como sucede con la gama media o alta.
