Is this the new Nokia phone in the company latest video?

Nokia is building up towards its long-awaited return to the smartphone stage, following a no-compete period after the Microsoft acquisition of its original smartphone business. Judging by this latest promo video, we’re nearly there.

The video is mostly filled with inspirational talk, pretty images and brand promotion. It’s easy to dismiss then as just another marketing exercise, but you’d be foolish to do so as you’d miss what appear to be the future Nokia devices.

Coming in at 1:16, there’s a tablet, which looks a lot like the existing N1. Gentle as the model’s hands may be, though, the thing appears more than a little larger that the current product. The power button is also closer to the edge, and there’s a black spot in the middle of the top plate, which isn’t present on the N1. It’s then safe to assume we’re in for a new tablet.

Next comes the smartphone, allegedly named C1, which appears to have a glossy plastic case, contrary to either metal-built leak we’ve seen so far. Camera placement is off compared to these two, but is more in line with renders that have been circulating.

You can check out the entire video below, and look for other visual clues at what to expect from Nokia in 2016.

T-Mobile reveals BlackBerry Priv pricing ahead of launch

BlackBerry has had its Priv handset available on its website for a bit of a stretch now, but since the only way to pick one up was to pay the full retail price in one step, it might have left it off many potential customer’s option block. T-Mobile might be able to do something about that.

The company has finally revealed the pricing for the Priv, which will launch under the Magenta carrier’s umbrella on Tuesday, January 26. It will be available in a couple of different ways, including JUMP! On Demand. With this option you can pay $0 down and then 18 monthly payments of $34 after that. You can then pay off the device — a total of $719.99 — and keep it if you like, or trade in the device and upgrade to something else if you’re looking at another handset.

T-Mobile will also offer the Priv through its equipment installment plan, which means you’ll pay $0 down and then 24 monthly payments of $34. You’ll pay $720 in this scenario, but the device will be yours to do what you will when it’s all said and done.

Now that installments are an option, do you plan on picking up a Priv through T-Mobile?
