When the Galaxy Note 5 was released, it received wide critical acclaim. Not long after, however, a different story began to sweep through the blogosphere. Some users found out the hard way that if they inserted the device’s signature S Pen in backwards, it could cause serious issues, including getting the S Pen stuck and destroying the S Pen auto detection within the phone. Now, a couple of months after the initial buzz, Samsung has quietly found a solution to the problem that it’s implementing in newly-produced models of the Galaxy Note 5.
The newer models of the Galaxy Note 5 include circuit boards that have a safety addition on the S Pen auto detection sensor. The new sensors have a small off-white tab that allows the S Pen to be safely ejected even if it’s been inserted backwards. The inital circuit boards didn’t have this cap, allowing the auto-detection sensor to simply snap if the S Pen was inserted backwards. You can check out the difference in the photo below.
Unfortunately, there’s no way of knowing which models now have this and which don’t. That being said, Samsung has clearly highlighted the proper way to insert the S Pen in the manual and packaging, so you should simply exercise caution and pay attention when you’re inserting the S Pen. But if you do have a new model and you make the mistake of inserting it backwards, at least you no longer have to fear losing your S Pen.

Tal y como aseguran en Androidcentral, Sony ya ha cogido sitio para su presentación en la edición del MWC de este año, concretamente, lunes 22 de Febrero a las 20:30 hora española. Como era de esperar, sus invitaciones ya están agotadas.
Por lo que respecta al evento, se espera de Sony que anuncié la rumoreada nueva gama de smartphones “Xperia Z”, es decir, el Xperia Z6. Por otra parte, Sony también podría “presentar” lo último en relojes inteligentes, el llamado Smartwatch 3, con GPS integrado y un diseño de lo más premium.
Aún así, Sony también podría sorprender con una tablet, tal y como lo hizo en el MWC de 2014. Hasta ahora, los últimos terminales Sony “Xperia Z” han tenido su correspondiente “hermano” en tablet, por lo que en esta edición del congreso nos podría llegar a las manos una posible nueva tablet Sony Z5, aunque no hay nada sobreseguro.
Sea como sea, Sony no presentó ninguna novedad “extraordinaria” en el CES de este año, así que mínimo algún dispositivo cae en este evento programado para lunes 22 de Febrero. Como siempre, estaremos allí para traeros de primera mano las últimas noticias que vayan saliendo, tanto de Sony como Android en general.

Last year for the first time ever Google launched two Nexus smartphones at the same time – the LG-made Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P. And this manner of going with both a more mainstream size as well as a phablet for the Nexus line might be the new trend – one that Google is said to repeat in 2016.
According to a new and unconfirmed rumor out of China, we shall once again see two Nexuses hitting the streets this year. One of them will have a 5-inch screen, while the other will get a 5.5-inch display. If true, this would represent an odd move for the mobile world, where handsets generally get bigger from year to year, not smaller (the Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch panel, while the 6P has a 5.7″ screen). Then again, the original Nexus 6 from Motorola had a 6″ display and that was shrinked in its successor, so anything is possible.
What might be more shocking is what company is said to be manufacturing both 2016 Nexuses: HTC. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has been in trouble, sales-wise, for many, many months now, and it probably hopes that this move will get it into the spotlight for the right reasons once more.
On the other hand, the analyst who is the source of this rumor is of the opinion that the two Nexuses will be too little to help HTC escape all of its problems. The Nexus 9 tablet from 2014 certainly wasn’t the success HTC had hoped it would be.
Apparently Huawei was also in the running for producing this year’s Nexuses, but the Chinese company lost out to HTC in the end. Obviously you should have taken all of this with a huge chunk of salt, because it comes from just one person. If there is any truth to this information, then expect to see it reiterated in the future.

El pasado año, con la llegada del LG G4, su diseño y características fueron filtradas antes de tiempo., Parece que LG no ha aprendido de sus errores y este año vamos por el mismo camino, pues ya el otro día se filtró una imagen con el que podría ser su nuevo diseño modular. Hoy traemos un nuevo diagrama filtrado que podría confirmar su aspecto.
Aspecto y medidas del nuevo LG G5
Como vemos en la imagen, las medidas de este nuevo dispositivo de la firma coreana serían las siguientes: 149,4 de altura x 73,9 de ancho x 8,2 mm de grosor, un poco más alto, aunque más estrecho y delgado que su sucesor, el LG G4, cuyas medidas eran de 148,9 x 76,1 x 9,8 mm. Lo que nos podría indicar que sería un dispositivo con una pantalla algo más grande, la cual está esperado que sea de unas 5,6 pulgadas con tecnología QHD.

Además de incorporar estas características, hay otras rumoreadas como el escáner de iris, la pantalla secundaria que ya incorporaba el LG V10 o una ranura mágica compatible con diferentes accesorios tales como teclados extraíbles, cámaras de 360º o amplificadores de audio, además del ya mencionado diseño modular, gracias al que se podría retirar la batería desde la parte inferior del dispositivo como vimos en la imagen filtrada hace unos días.
Como siempre cuando se filtran datos de un nuevo dispositivo, debemos saber que estos solo son rumores y que sus características podrían cambiar hasta que el smartphone sea presentado, por ello, nos tocará esperar hasta el día 21 de Febrero para descubrirlo todo sobre este terminal.
