Such a move would be the latest effort by management to unlock the value for its internet business. The market capitalization of Yahoo approximates the value of the sum of its cash and its equity holdings in Alibaba and Yahoo! Japan, suggesting a negative valuation for the core business. The company is under considerable pressure from investors to seek a remedy to this situation.

Ironically, the demand of developed nations like the United States drive the illicit markets domestically and overseas, and as many as 300,000 American-born children are at risk of being sex trafficked within the United States each year. The average age of entry into the sex trade for domestic-born victims is 12 years old, down from 13 years old in years past. The demand for commercial sex acts with minors is not diminishing; rather, preferences for younger and younger boys and girls is pervasive.
