BLU Vivo 5 and Vivo XL are official with 5.5″ displays

US-based smartphone maker BLU used CES 2016 to announce its latest phones – the BLU Vivo 5 and Vivo XL. Both feature 5.5″ Super AMOLED screens, MediaTek chipsets with octa-core CPU and metal unibody design.

The BLU Vivo 5 comes with a 5.5″ Super AMOLED screen of 720p resolution resulting in a pixel density of 267 ppi. Inside the metal unibody, there’s a MediaTek 6753 chipset with a 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

At the back of the Vivo 5, there’s a 13MP camera coupled with a 5MP snapper at the front. The battery is 3,150mAh and the phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Capable of LTE connectivity, the Vivo 5 also has dual-SIM card slots. Expect the phone to be available next month on Amazon and BestBuy for $199. Available colors are White-Silver and Solid Gold.

BLU Vivo XL

Despite what the phone’s name suggests, the Vivo XL features the same 720p 5.5″ Super AMOLED display and chipset, but it has slightly downgraded memory specifications.

RAM is down to 2GB, while the internal storage of 16GB supports expansion via microSD card slot. There’s a slight difference in terms of the build, as the Vivo XL features a glossy finish complete with a subtle pattern at the back.

The BLU Vivo XL will cost $149 and its sales start some time this month on Amazon and BestBuy. Color options include Liquid Gold, Chrome Silver, Midnight Blue and Rose Gold.

ZTE Nubia estrena web y permite la compra de sus dispositivos en España y Sudamérica

Si algo destaca en las marcas chinas de fabricación de smartphones, es su falta de expansión en occidente, por eso a menudo nos vemos obligados a comprar estos dispositivos en tiendas de terceros donde suelen tardar meses ha realizar el envío. Hoy pero, una de las mejores marcas chinas como es ZTE, ha dado un enorme paso por lo que respecta a sus ventas a Europa y el resto del mundo.

La mejor gama del gigante chino llega a España

Tras acuerdos con Qualcomm y la compra del dominio “Nubia” por 2 millones de euros, ZTE y sus últimos terminales de la serie “Nubia” llegan a Europa y Sudamérica, concretamente, en México, Argentina, Reino Unido, Alemania, Francia y España.

Además, esta gama “Nubia” llega acompañada de la página web “nubia.com”, de momento únicamente en los idiomas chino, español e inglés, donde de momento podemos comprar el penúltimo Nubia Z9 o Z9 Mini, y es muy posible que unos días después del CES 2016 incorporen el nuevo Nubia Z11, famoso por su pantalla curva sin marcos.

Por otro lado, el la página web encontramos un apartado especial únicamente para el ZTE Nubia My Prague, un terminal hasta ahora completamente desconocido en España. Presentado en Junio de este año, el My Prague incorpora una pantalla AMOLED de 5.2 pulgadas, un procesador Qualcomm Snapdragon 610, 2 o 3 GB de RAM y una batería de 2200 mAh.

Además de ser una web para la compra y anuncio de los terminales Nubia, ZTE ha abierto una sección dedicada exclusivamente a las fotografías realizadas con cualquier tipo de ZTE Nubia, organizadas en diferentes secciones, como paisajes, fotografías con grandes exposiciones de luz y time-lapse, cada una con el terminal ZTE con que se ha realizado la fotografía.

De esta forma, el gigante chino destaca un apartado que no ha pasado por desapercibido en ninguno de sus terminales de la serie “Nubia” como es la cámara.

Así pues, aunque no haya un apartado exclusivo de “tienda on-line“ en esta nueva página web, los ZTE Nubia Z9 y Z9 Mini ya están a la venta para comprarlos directamente a ZTE, sin tiendas de importación o derivados. Aún así, sigue siendo una web aún muy verde, aunque no tiene ni punto de comparación con el desastre de web de ZTE España.

En resumen, esperamos que todos los Nubia habidos y por venir se vayan incorporando poco a poco a esta web, como el futuro Z11 o algunos ya existentes como el Z9 Max, y de esta forma expandir ZTE y China a España y el resto de occidente.

Mobile applications that control the devices are connected via the gateway. That scenario represents partial functionality of an IoT solution.
