With 2016 underway, it’s time for my annual predictions post covering everything from the U.S. economy to elections to the Oscars. It could be a bumpy year for the stock market and some billion-dollar unicorns, but the dollar and drones should have a big 2016. Oh, and the White House likely will find itself with familiar residents.

Last year our reviewers always had something interesting on their hands, but the fun for 2015 is now over. Time to see which of our reviews proved to be the most popular before CES kicks off and pulls the spotlight towards 2016 gadgets.
This year marked a major turnaround for Samsung, which completely rethought its design with the Galaxy S6 and flexed its advanced manufacturing muscle with the Galaxy S6 edge. The S6 review was our most read this year and even then people were curious enough to check out the S6 edge review.
The Galaxy S6 also starred in some of the best-read shootouts this year. Our Intergalactic camera shootout was the peak of the versus articles, but the S6 also brawled with the LG G4, HTC One M9, Apple iPhone 6 and Sony Xperia Z5.
For all of Samsung’s popularity, the Asus Zenfone 2 review breathed down the neck of the S6. That review was published a month later, so maybe with enough time the competitively priced mid-ranger could have taken the crown.
Speaking of, the Motorola Moto G (3rd gen) review wasn’t quite as popular as the Zenfone but it beat out all the rest for third place.
LG’s highlight was the G4, the V10 came too late in the game to score enough hits. At least LG had a flagship make its mark, our most-read Sony review was of the Xperia M4 Aqua. The Xperia Z3+ is much lower on the list and the Z5 isn’t even on it. The rapid fire of Z3, Z3+ and Z5 may have caused some reading fatigue.
Xiaomi did quite well too with the Mi 4i and Redmi 2 reviews garnering a lot of interest, ahead of other Android upstarts.

Samsung Galaxy S6 review: Subject Zero

Asus Zenfone 2 review: A balancing act
World domination was surely on the mind of at least one top exec over at Asus headquarters, when the crew gathered to outline the Zenfone 2 game plan. We had the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge with us for a short time so we took a stroll though Barcelona with a Galaxy Note Edge for an impromptu shootout. We also had an Apple iPhone 6 on hand so we snapped a couple of photos with that too. After all, with Samsung’s new appreciation of metal frames the Galaxy S6 edge will look to attract converts.

Samsung’s newly found love for “premium build” is spilling down the ranks and if the new A-series get half the love and attention the S-line has been getting, it will be a job well done. Dentro de nuestro apartado de Aplicaciones para cenar y chuparse los dedos, nos habíamos dejado siempre fuera esas apps prácticas para ir al supermercado. Al fin y al cabo, muchas de las cenas que haces son en casa y es a estos establecimientos a los que tienes que acudir en caso de querer comprar toda la comida que necesitas. Así que para empezar el 2016, y con el primero de los artículos de esta sección me he querido animar a comenzar a incluir este tipo de apps. Así que hoy abrimos paso a una aplicación con un nombre complejo y nada fácil de memorizar, pero muy útil. Analizamos Entrada de voz lista de compras.
Si eres de los que siempre que vas al super llevas una lista de compras escrita a mano. O simplemente te gustaría imponer esa práctica pero nunca encuentras el tiempo para hacerlo, creo que te va a interesar la propuesta que nos hacen desde Entradas de voz lista de compras. En realidad, lo que te permite esta aplicación es un ahorro importante de tiempo, ya que podrás evitarte tener que escribir absolutamente nada para poder pasar a concentrarte en simplemente registrar tu voz y que la app tome notas de lo que estás diciendo. No importa si solo es una palabra, o si la frase tiene varias. Esta aplicación lo hará todo por ti.

Teniendo en cuenta que en el supermercado casi siempre se apuesta por técnicas de marketing que pretenden convencer al usuario de lo que necesitan colocando los productos de menor uso en las estanterías, y al mismo tiempo se le ofrecen promociones a la altura de los ojos en aquello que no es primordial, llevar una lista de lo que se necesita y centrarse en ella suele funcionar muy bien a la hora de ahorrar dinero. De hecho, los expertos en finanzas domésticas te recomiendan hacerlo siempre que puedas.
Esta aplicación facilita el proceso pudiendo dictarle aquello que quieres y aquello que no. Al mismo tiempo, el control de voz también te permite tachar los elementos que has comprado, aunque esta función todavía tiene cosas que mejorar. En todo caso, para ese proceso, a mí particularmente me parece más rápido utilizar el dedo en la pantalla táctil. Pero esto no es todo, si supones que tienes una lista de la compra en papel, o si te vas directamente a una conversación de mensajería en la que te la han pasado, como por ejemplo en recados o en cenas para amigos, podrás importar directamente este texto para gestionarlo desde la aplicación.
Respecto a la interfaz es mejorable, y el contenido solo ofrece la función que te hemos especificado pudiendo añadir algún extra que hiciese más atractiva a esta app. Salvo por eso, creo que es una de esas aplicaciones que todos deberíamos tener para comenzar el año 2016 con unas finanzas más saneadas que comiencen a poner un poco de orden en todo lo que tiene que ver con las compras y los gastos del hogar. ¿No te parece?
