Apple iOS 9: 42 Biggest Changes And How To Use Them

It has been less than a week since Apple released iOS 9 and more than 50% of Apple devices are already running on the new operating system. This is the fastest adoption rate of any Apple release ever. When Apple announced iOS 9 in June, some of the highlights that were discussed included the News app, the iCloud Drive app, a Transit view on Apple Maps, multitasking on the iPad and a smarter version of Siri.
iOS 9 also includes faster performance and improved battery life. There is also an emphasis on under-the-hood improvements in iOS 9, which includes security enhancements.
I updated my iPhone and iPad to iOS 9 on September 16th and have been tinkering with the new features since then. What I discovered is that there are many major changes in the software update that are very useful — some of them being subtle. Below are 42 of the biggest changes and how to set them up.

Huawei podría estar preparando un phablet con stylus propio, ¿guerra en los phablets?

Huawei estaría preparando un phablet con su propia tecnología stylus según los últimos rumores que nos llegan desde el medio coreano Daum. En el mismo medio apuntan a que la firma china lleva un tiempo en conversaciones con un par de fabricanes de stylus de Corea del Sur, dando a entender que el fabricante del Gigante Asiático podría lanzar lo que en Daum han llamado “S Pen Killer“, entrando a competir directamente con los Samsung Galaxy Note.

El primer momvimiento de los chinos habría pasado por entablar contacto con el fabricante de tabletas digitales Wacom, que ayudaron a desarrollar el S Pen de Samsung. Sin embargo, parece ser que entre las dos empresas no han conseguido entenderse. Esto, según han apuntado en Android Authority, podria deberse a que existe un acuerdo de exclusividad entre Wacom y Samsung con respecto a la tecnología usada en el S Pen.

Cuando esta negociación fracasó, en Huawei se dedicaron a buscar hasta encontrar un competidor que pudirea producir un stylus con un rendimiento y un precio que pueda competir con los productos de Wacom, pero de momento ahí queda todo.

El aliado misterioso de Huawei

No se sabe quién va a ser el padre de la criatura, quién, en definitiva, será finalmente el fabricante del stylus de los chinos. Tampoco existe ninguna información por ahora sobre el hardware de este phablet que viene a animar el mercado, y mucho menos sobre el aspecto que tendrá. Sin embargo, hay una pista derivada del presente de la firma china, y es que Huawei ya pensó en introducir un stylus para sus Ascend Mate, con lo que podemos especular con que se tratará de un dispositivo de gama alta.

Aunque los rumores acabasen por ser verdad, todavía no hay forma de saber si finalmente llegará ese phablet Huawei con stylus. A pesar de todo, una característica como esa debería ser la compañera perfecta para la nueva función estrella de los Huawei Mate S. Estamos hablando de Force Touch en Android, algo que cambiaría nuestra forma de usar las pantallas.

LG Class becomes official with slim metal case, mid-range specs

Just as previously teased, today LG made a new smartphone official in South Korea. It’s called LG Class, and for a while we thought it would be a mid-range phablet. Mid-range it is, but size-wise it’s just a 5-incher.

The Class features a unibody metal construction, which, when paired with its specs, reminds us a little bit of Samsung’s Galaxy A series of handsets.

The LG Class comes in three colors – gold, silver, and black. It has a 5-inch 720p IPS touchscreen with 2.5D curved glass, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, an 8 MP selfie snapper, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a 2,050 mAh battery.

It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 chipset, boasting a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. Its dimensions are 142 x 71.8 x 7.4 mm, and it weighs 147g.

The price in South Korea has been set at KRW 399,300, which amounts to approximately $338 or €301 at the current exchange rates. It’s still unclear if LG plans on bringing the Class to other markets in the future.
