Draft Ops Steals Home Court From DraftKings With TD Garden Deal

Boston-based daily fantasy sports company DraftKings was recently selected to a list highlighting those setting the Boston sports scene on fire right now.  Yet, the operator that has spent upwards of $20 million per week on TV advertisements, brokered twelve NFL team partnerships, eight NHL team deals, nine NBA team arrangements and practically signed up all of Major League Baseball failed to defend home court.  One of its newest and strongest competitors, Draft Ops, has won the right to become the official fantasy partner of TD Garden in Boston under a five-year deal.  TD Garden is the venue that hosts the Boston Bruins and Celtics, teams that DraftKings spent more than a million dollars combined to get under contract.
Under the new five-year deal, Draft Ops will have three unique branded locations within TD Garden .  The exclusive membership club Legends will be renamed Legends presented by Draft Ops, TD Garden will convert an executive suite by branding it with Draft Ops marks and including Draft Ops brand ambassadors, and as is the new norm in these arena-based fantasy operator deals, Draft Ops will have a fantasy lounge within TD Garden to educate patrons about daily fantasy sports and to host events such as meet-and-greet opportunities with notable Boston athletes.

Gionee Pioneer P3S goes official with a bigger screen, more storage

Gionee introduces a new budget smartphone – the Pioneer P3S, which is a prompt upgrade over the 2013’s Pioneer P3. The new S model bumps the screen size, RAM amount and storage capacity.

The Gionee Pioneer P3S features a 4.5″ FWVGA display and runs on the rather dated MT6582 chip. The MediaTek’s platform offers a quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 processor, Mali-T400 GPU and 1GB RAM. Those are the same specs as the previous P3 model, but the RAM is doubled.

The Pioneer P3S also sports a 5MP AF rear camera, a VGA front snapper, 16GB expandable storage and a 2,000 mAh battery. The connectivity package includes 3G and dual-SIM capabilities.

Gionee Pioneer P3S runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo 3.1 launcher. It will go on sale in India this week for INR 5,999 or about $90. Unfortunately, that’s currently the price of the much better Xiaomi Redmi 2, so you might want to consider your options before placing a bet.

Meizu Pro 5, el nuevo terminal chino tope de gama con lo mejor de cada casa

Como bien decimos habitualmente, los chinos nos comen. Aunque no principalmente a nosotros, si no al resto de fabricantes habituales en este tipo de regiones, como podrían ser LG, Samsung, HTC, Sony y similares. Meizu una vez más lo ha hecho y hoy a presentado su nuevo terminal, el buque insignia Pro 5, que únicamente con la hoja de especificaciones es un terminal que merece hacerle mención por lo interesante y tope de gama que es.

El terminal en sí, aunque una vez más nos recuerda mínimamente en los detalles a los terminales de la manzana mordida y eterno rival de Android, si que sigue la línea de la firma y sigue apostando por lo que funciona: precio, rendimiento y calidad.

Vamos a hacer un repaso a las especificaciones del terminal:

  • Cámara trasera: sensor IMX230 f/2.2 de 21 megapíxeles, flash LED y láser autofoco
  • Cámara frontal: f/2.0 de 5 megapíxeles con face light boost
  • Sistema operativo: FlymeOS
  • Otros: Lector de huellas dactilares, microSD/Dual SIM, Conector USB Tipo-C, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi dual-band, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS

Sin duda estamos ante una auténtica bestia, y como decíamos con lo mejor de cada casa, al poseer en su interior componentes tope de gama como su procesador Exynos 7420 de Samsung, su sensor Sony IMX230 de 21 megapíxeles y otros también muy interesantes como los 3 y 4 GB de RAM LPDDR4, una amplia batería de 3.050 mAh, su conector USB Tipo-C para mejorar la velocidad de carga y transferencia, junto con el lector de huellas para mejorar la seguridad del dispositivo. Sin duda, completo en su totalidad.

Precio y disponibilidad

Como suele ser habitual, este flamante dispositivo no llegará a España de forma oficial, pero siempre nos quedará la importación en páginas de confianza.

No obstante, el terminal llegará el próximo 12 de octubre y con un precio de 439 dólares la versión de 3 GB y 486 dólares la más potente con 4 GB LPDDR4. Un precio cuanto menos interesante y difícil de resistirse y no optar por él ante los precios de los principales fabricantes que incluso doblan el de éste en su lanzamiento, como es el caso. Con este terminal, el Meizu Pro 5 y otras pasadas apuestas de la firma como el Meizu MX5 o el Meizu M2 Note tenemos un surtido de esta familia muy interesante. Lástima de las dificultades para hacerse con ellos.
