Top 10 Android app updates this week: Quizlet, Action Launcher

Welcome back to our weekly Top 10 Android App Updates column, where we take a look at the most frequently upgraded apps for the week. We’ve found that one of the best ways to discover useful apps is to find the ones that are actually being updated by the developers rather than selecting the apps with the most installs. As in the past, we’re going to filter out minor updates for the super-popular apps that have over 10 million installs, but we’ll make exceptions for apps that have had significant updates. We hope you enjoy this weekly feature and that you discover some apps that end up being useful.

Rum Startup And Enrique Iglesias Aim To Make Miami Startup Scene Go Viral Using Social Media

There might not be a more appropriate way to spend a weekend in Miami Beach than with a cocktail in your hand. Those of the rum persuasion, particularly in the form of a Mojito, pair well with a Cuban sandwich, a beach chair or even the tropical backdrop at The Broken Shaker. It’s very clichéd, I know. But, can you think of another way to celebrate a weekend in South Florida? I can’t.

Twitch Is Creating Its Own Cross-Platform Broadcasting Software Called ‘Gameshow’

In order to achieve healthy growth moving forward, Amazon’s live-streaming service Twitch will take a page from YouTube and allow users to upload pre-recorded videos like Let’s Plays and game walkthroughs. But it’s also doing something else that I’m positive existing Twitch broadcasters will appreciate: They’re developing  their own streaming software called “Gameshow.”
