4chan’s New Owner ‘Rick Rolls’ His Minions: 7 Things We Learned About Hiroyuki Nishimura
On Tuesday, new 4chan owner Hiroyuki Nishimura held a Q&A for his community. Naturally, 4chan users treated it as a hazing ritual.
Nishimura gave as good as he got, indicating he knew exactly what he was getting into. The founder of 2Channel, the anonymous Japanese culture message board that inspired Christopher Poole to build 4chan, he’s the man Poole called “the great-grandfather of all of this.”

4chan usernames are both anonymous and temporary, so the original Q&A is already gone from the boards. However, the 8 p.m. ET session is preserved for posterity on an unofficial 4chan archiving site and in a 41-page Google Document, racial slurs, swearwords, and all. If that’s a bit racy or lengthy for you, I’ve collected some of the highlights.
4chan’s new owner is pretty hard to troll.
Nishimura opened the conversation with an open poll asking users to pick his next username. Just as Poole went by “moot” on 4chan, Nishimura plans to have a moniker, too.
Not surprisingly, 4chan users outdid themselves, submitting outlandishly obnoxious suggestions for Nishimura, from the culturally offensive “Hiroshima Nagasaki” to the obligatory 4chan stab at his sexuality, “Faglord” to Asian (albeit inaccurate) slurs such as “gook.”. Nishimura, unfazed, responded in kind, answering the question, “How small is your penis?” with, “Same as yours.”
Nishimura’s English is good and his 4chan literacy is even better.
A Japanese citizen, Nishimura learned English while studying at Central Arkansas University as an exchange student. When a 4chan user asked him whether it was easy to learn English, Nishimura replied, “easier than French.”
Nishimura told users that he’s spent time lurking 4chan “since met moot.’” When asked if he would be making any major changes to 4chan, Nishimura responded, “What is significant other than .” (This is a 4chan-born meme called Rick Rolling that users are more than familiar with.)

Leaked blurry photo shows HTC One A9 in a white color scheme
A blurry photo of HTC One A9 made the rounds online, showcasing the handset in a white color scheme. The mid-range smartphone is expected to debut at the end of this month, on September 29 alongside a high-end HTC device.
Despite the photograph’s subpar quality, the upcoming One A9 clearly resembles a lovechild of Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6. The handset appears to pack a metal body, as well as a fingerprint sensor that’s integrated into its home button.
Rumored specs of HTC One A9 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable memory, 13MP main camera with OIS, and 4MP front-facing snapper. A 5″ 1080p AMOLED display and 2,150mAh battery are also said to be on board. Past report suggests that the handset will boot Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Pebble unveils Pebble Time Round, pre-order today and ships in November
It’s been quite the year for Pebble already, with a return to Kickstarter with the Pebble Time and Pebble Time Steel netting them over $20 million. This in the face of an ever growing number of Android Wear watches, the launch of Apple Watch, and new Tizen-based offerings from Samsung.
Pebble was holding one more piece of hardware up its sleeve this year, and today announced the Pebble Time Round. As the name suggests, the Pebble Time Round diverts from the now familiar rectangular Pebble screen in favor of the more traditional round face that is proving popular with many buyers. Along with the change in shape, the Pebble Time Round is considerably thinner and lighter than previous models at just 7.5mm and 28 grams, down from 9.5mm and 42.5 grams on the Pebble Time. This will make it the thinnest and lightest smartwatch on the market when it launches in November.
Beyond the physical changes, the Pebble Time Round isn’t diverging greatly from the existing Pebble Time lineup. It is using the same color e-paper display and will offer days of battery life. Pebble also touts that a 15-minute quick charge will be able to give you another juice for another full day of battery life.
The Pebble Time Round comes in either Black, Silver or Rose Gold finishes and is paired with a 14mm or 20mm quick change leather band, with additional metal options to be introduced later in the year.
For Pebble Time Steel backers that have just received their rewards from the Kickstarter project, Pebble is offering you the ability to trade in your Pebble Time Steel for the Pebble Time Round when they are available. Details of the exchange program can be found on Pebble’s help site, but the basics are that you will have 30 days with the Pebble Time Round to make up your mind on which you prefer and can then choose to keep either watch without spending any more than you did on the Kickstarter, or you can keep both and receive a $50 discount on the Pebble Time Round.
The Pebble Time Round will retail for the same $249 as the Pebble Time Steel and is available for pre-order today shipping in November.

El Nexus 6P estará disponible en Blanco, Negro, Plata y Dorado
El Nexus 6P de Huawei será presentado la semana que viene pero sin embargo ya conocemos prácticamente todo sobre él. Y es que, el dispositivo de Google y Huawei se ha dejado ver últimamente en muchas filtraciones. Esto ha hecho que sepamos e intuyamos algunas especificaciones sobre el futuro dispositivo de 6 pulgadas.
Hoy hemos visto varias informaciones al respecto de los nuevos terminales que veremos el próximo 29 de Septiembre. Si bien hemos visto lo que seria la primera imagen en buena calidad del Nexus 6P así como su caja, ahora vemos los diferentes colores que tendrá el terminal.
El Nexus 6P estará disponible en varios colores, concretamente en: blanco, negro, oro y plata. Así se ha sabido gracias, otra vez, a una nueva filtración que muestran las diferentes variantes. Ahora habrá que ver realmente si todos estos colores estarán disponibles en todos los mercados o simplemente estarán en algunos mercados de manera exclusiva.
Con la llegada del Nexus 5, Google introdujo el color rojo un poco más tarde de su lanzamiento oficial, pudiendo adquirir el producto en tres colores diferentes: blanco, negro y rojo. Ahora Google vuelve a repetir la historia pero esta vez lo hará desde el primer día que el dispositivo este presente en el mercado.
Hasta ahora habíamos visto las imágenes del futuro Nexus de Huawei de color blanco y ahora descubrimos varios colores que harán tener una variedad de opción a la hora de comprar el dispositivo. Suponemos que la parte frontal del smartphone tendrá el mismo color negro en todas sus variantes, aunque podría haber alguna sorpresa al respecto y que los marcos laterales del nuevo Nexus siga el color de la parte trasera del mismo. Pebble Time Round goes official with circular body
Pebble took the wraps off its most elegant smartwatch to date. Dubbed Pebble Time Round, the wearable device features a classic-looking circular body that weighs only 28 grams.
According to its manufacturer, the Pebble Time Round is the thinnest smartwatch in the world at 7.5mm. The device is available with 14mm or 20mm band.
Both Pebble Time Round variants are available in black or silver finish. A special-edition Rose Gold color is reserved exclusively for the version with 14mm band.
Like the regular Pebble Time, the Round boots the manufacturer’s exclusive OS. In line with its name, the Pebble Time Round has a circular 64-color display.
Pebble Time Round will begin shipping in November with $249 price tag. Reservations for the smartphone are now open on Pebble’s official website.

Los nuevos Google Nexus 5X y 6P posan para la cámara, incluidas sus cajas originales
Lo sabemos todo, o prácticamente todo acerca de los dos de los smartphones más esperados del año, los que conocemos como los Google Nexus de 2015. De hecho, sus nombres oficiales ya están revelados y serán reconocidos como Google Nexus 5X el fabricado por LG y Google Nexus 6P el fabricado por Huawei.
Ambos muy distintos pero compartiendo la misma esencia, la experiencia Nexus con Android puro y presumiendo de tener exclusivamente Android 6.0 Marshmallow, la nueva versión de nuestro sistema operativo que promete lograr un rendimiento y eficiencia nunca visto hasta ahora.
No obstante, no es momento de hablar de sus bondades ni características, si no de presentaros las nuevas imágenes que han aparecido en la red, mostrando aún más si cabe su aspecto físico y con una novedad: la caja o embalaje original del los dos dispositivos.
Google Nexus 5X, la apuesta de LG
Recordemos que este, el Google Nexus 5X es el resultado del potencial y evolución de LG, que traerá algunas de sus mejores características, algunas nunca vistas en la firma como el lector de huellas dactilares y otras sí como su flamante cámara y el láser autofoco que tanto ayuda a realizar las fotografías con la cámara principal.
Esta nueva imagen no nos muestra nada nuevo. Sin embargo, nos deja disfrutar una vez más de su aspecto físico y su gran parecido con la gama Lumia de Microsoft, que tanto gusta a algunos usuarios –servidor incluido– y tan poco a otros, sea por su diseño o por su semejanza.
Lo mejor es el poder visualizar el aspecto de su embalaje original. Si nos fijamos, este luce un aspecto cuadrado, la letra “X” del modelo del dispositivo y uno de los fondos incluidos en Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Google Nexus 6P, calidad y rendimiento a partes iguales
En este caso encontramos el Google Nexus 6P, el dispositivo fabricado por Huawei y al igual que en el caso del LG, éste presume de algunas de las mejores características de la firma como sus materiales nobles, el lector de huellas que tan bien funciona en otros dispositivos de la misma compañía y algunas novedades como esa cámara envuelta en un cristal negro.
Esta vez sí que podemos visualizar con más detalle el terminal, que en pasadas filtraciones ya lo hicimos con su parte frontal pero la trasera quedaba algo oculta. Sin duda, un terminal premium mire por donde se mire.
Y como no, también ha aparecido la caja o embalaje original. Este también luce la letra “P” del modelo del dispositivo y con otro fondo distinto que también será incluido en Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Como detalle de diferenciación, esta caja luce unos bordes más redondeados en todas sus esquinas que la del Nexus 5X, un detalle a tener en cuenta.
No sabemos qué materiales habrá empleado Google en la fabricación del embalaje original, si cartón para el Google Nexus 5X por su acabado en plástico y una metálica para el Google Nexus 6P al contener un cuerpo totalmente fabricado en aluminio. Sería un auténtico detalle, ¿no creéis?
Paciencia, menos de una semana y conoceremos toda la información oficial en el evento programado el día 29, con algunas sorpresas incluidas.
