Blackberry Venice stars in a new hands-on video

Blackberry has spent a lot of time searching for a new strategy to revive the company. If the flood of recent leaks is to be believed, the company has settled on making an Android device, dubbed the Blackberry Venice. As the star of a huge amount of recent leaks and rumors, the Blackberry Venice is all but officially revealed. The latest leak comes from Baka Mobile, which happens to be a retailer for Bell Mobility in Canada. The company has received an evaluation unit and posted a hands-on video to its blog.

The video confirms the sliding keyboard on the Blackberry Venice and also reveals that the keyboard has touch sensitivity, like the Blackberry Passport, which allows you to scroll up and down without moving you thumb up to the display. The device also contains Google services in combination with Blackberry additions, such as Blackberry Hub and Blackberry Device Search. Even though Blackberry has added unique pieces of its own software, the phone still resembles much of stock Android, which is a welcome relief.

YouTube Gaming pronto permitirá retransmitir tus partidas directamente desde Android

Como bien sabemos, YouTube es la plataforma en línea por excelencia en la reproducción de vídeos de todo tipo. Sin embargo, Google no se conforma con reinar en este ámbito y quieren ir a por todas, sumando más servicios unidos de un modo u otro a YouTube como Music Key, Creator, Kids y Gaming, cada una orientado a un público distinto.

Respecto a la última de ellas, YouTube Gaming, aunque no ha conseguido captar la suficiente atención del público, quieren fomentar aún más la retransmisión de las partidas en línea de todo tipo de vídeojuegos y próximamente será posible directamente desde Android.

Retransmisión al instante desde tu terminal Android

Sabemos que, a diferencia de los habituales vídeojuegos que son lanzados para las actuales consolas de nueva generación y PC, otros plenamente dirigidos a sistemas operativos móviles no tienen tanta relevancia como quisiéramos muchos de nosotros.

Aún así, YouTube se esmera para hacerlo posible y lograr que, de una forma sencilla puedas hacer un streaming directamente desde tu terminal Android, sea smartphone o tablet de juegos tan exitosos como Clash of Clans, u otros no tan relevantes como Crossy Road, por ejemplo.

Aún sabiendo los próximos planes de Google acerca de su nueva aplicación YouTube Gaming, no sabemos qué margen de tiempo entra en la palabra “próximamente”, podría ser pronto en cuestión de semanas o alargarse bastante a unos cuantos meses.

Además, tampoco sabemos qué tipo de resolución permitirá la retransmisión o aún mejor, qué mínimo de conexión por Wi-Fi requerirá para hacer un evento en directo completamente estable y sin cortes, tanto de audio como de vídeo, ya que ni siquiera con una fantástica conexión 4G LTE debería ser posible.

Esto es muy importante ya que dispositivos Android los hay desde resoluciones 720p hasta las actuales QuadHD, cada una con mayor o menor requisito de hardware y deberá estar adaptado de un modo u otro para no generar lag en el terminal y en el juego, a la vez que es retransmitido y llega al espectador.

Un paso muy interesante pero que debe hacerse perfectamente, de lo contrario no será viable tanto para el streamer como para el usuario que suele disfrutar de este tipo de eventos en directo acerca de sus juegos favoritos.

Google is reportedly prepping an updated Chromecast app

Google has a big event coming up on September 29, and as we draw nearer to the day, more and more rumors have cropped up showing that the Chromecast will have a major role in the announcements. Not only will a new model be announced, but the company will add Spotify support and according to a new leak from 9to5Google, the company will also launch a major update for the Chromecast companion app.

The new update will include a new section titled “What’s On”, which will allow you to see content being offered through various Chromecast-compatible apps. This includes not just movies and TV shows, but also videos, photos, music and any other content that can be cast. You can simply select an offering to begin casting it. The update will also improve the “Discover Apps” tab. The current feature simply links to a page in the Play Store, but the update will reportedly have it stay within the app. It will then show you installed apps with Chromecast support and suggest new apps that support the Chromecast.

The final news is that the app will get a visual redesign. The only images that 9to5Google has are intensely blurry, but you can still tell that things have been changed up. We’ll have to wait for an official announcement to see exactly how it looks.

Ya estamos aquí con un nuevo enfrentados, y en esta ocasión el protagonista es el Motorola Moto X Play, del que por supuesto ya te hemos mostrado nuestro particular análisis, y que nos dejaba muy buenas sensaciones, llevándose una nota que rozaba el sobresaliente.

El nuevo dispositivo de Motorola es un phablet de gama media, que destaca principalmente por su batería, tanto por su capacidad, como por su rapidísima sistema de carga rápida –valga la redundancia–. Además, de esto, también cuenta con otros puntos fuertes como su pantalla de gran calidad, o por supuesto, por su pulido software, aunque lógicamente también tiene algunos puntos mejorables.

Así que ahora, toca ver desde distintos puntos de vista lo mejor y lo peor de este Motorola Moto X Play, y como siempre, esperamos que al menos os haga pasar un rato divertido. ¡Dentro vídeo!
