I’m a runner. Roughly every other day for the past 40-some years, I’ve taken a jog. And ever since I bought my first Sony Walkman, I’ve plugged portable headphones into my ears via the earbuds, to enjoy music. I’ve always felt I can run significantly longer listening to music than not. Thus, I kind of look at headphones as a tiny investment in my health.

ASUS quietly begins selling new Zenfone 2 model with 16GB of storage and 4GB of RAM
ASUS’s Zenfone 2 has garnered plenty of attention due to its low price and impressive list of specs. Now, ASUS has quietly begun selling a new model of the device that bridges the gap between the standard model and the upgraded model with extra RAM and storage. This new model is priced at $229 and it comes with 16GB of storage, like the standard model, but it bosts the RAM up to 4GB, just like the upgraded model. The Intel Atom processor is the same one that’s found in the standard model, the slightly slower Z3560 model.
Previously, the Zenfone 2 has been sold in two configurations. The standard model costs $199 and comes with 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. The upgraded model comes in at $299 and packs in 64GB of storage, 4GB of RAM and a slightly more powerful processor. This new configuration should please many who want the extra RAM without the extra $100. Even though it comes with less storage, some might disregard that in light of the fact that storage is expandable via microSD.
You can now pick up the new model from several different online retailers, including Amazon.

Huawei Watch officially available today
The Huawei Watch has made a few appearances already, but today is it’s first day of official availability. You can find it for sale on GetHuawei.com, Best Buy, Amazon and the Google Store. If you want to get it immediately, and I’m going to assume that includes most of you, then you should go with either Amazon or the Google Store, which are shipping it right now.
Amazon has the most comprehensive lineup, but the base level leather strap model at $349 is delayed for 1-2 months. However, the Stainless Steel with Link Band for $399 and the Black Stainless Steel with Link Band for $449 are shipping immediately.
The Google Store has just the Stainless Steel with Mesh Strap model for sale and that will set you back $399.
Best Buy has all but the Rose Gold-plated models up for pre-order, and naturally, GetHuawei.com has every variant available, but they won’t ship until early October.
We will have our full review of the Huawei Watch in due time, but at the outset we felt that it is easily one of the best-looking Android Wear watches to date, and that certainly hasn’t changed.

Huawei Watch is now up for pre-order in Europe for 399
Huawei is now finally in the process of bringing its first smartwatch to Europe. The Chinese company has started taking pre-orders for the Huawei Watch through its official European online store.
Oddly enough, although the store itself is available for the UK, the Huawei Watch isn’t yet on offer in that market. But you can pre-order it if you live in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Italy, or Switzerland.
The starting price for Eurozone countries is 399, while if you’re in Switzerland you’ll need to pay CHF 399. This nets you a silver Huawei Watch with a genuine leather strap.
In some countries (but not all for whatever reason) there are some additional choices, all priced at 449 or CHF 449. You can pick a black model with leather strap, or get one of two stainless steel band options, with link or mesh design. Regardless of which model you pick, you’ll have to wait between two and three weeks for your order to actually ship.
The Huawei Watch runs Android Wear, is compatible with both Android and iOS devices, and comes with a 1.4-inch 400×400 AMOLED touchscreen, sapphire crystal protection, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, Wi-Fi, a six-axis motion sensor, a heart rate monitor, a barometer, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and a 300 mAh battery.

I’m at Dreamforce this week, the 150,000 person conference for Salesforce which is being held in San Francisco. Being surrounded by so many people I couldn’t help but think about the importance of networking and why this will always be crucial for how business gets done. Nothing can ever replace the opportunity to sit down with someone, have a cup of coffee and connect on a personal level. This type of personal communication fosters the ability to make connections which are the glue that makes strong teams in the workplace. $10 Million Acquisition Will Bring eSports To The Big Screen
Competitive video game tournaments are coming to a theater near you. That is, if you live in Canada. Through a purchase of WG Ltd. (operating as WorldGaming), an eSports platform that promotes tournaments, leagues and gaming ladders, Canada-based Cineplex Entertainment will be hosting eSports competitions in its fully digitized motion picture theaters as soon as October 2015.
Cineplex paid $10 million to acquire WorldGaming’s operational assets . The transaction contemplates the creation of a new company that will be focused on eSports competition — 80% of the company will be owned by Cineplex — as well as Cineplex’s promise to invest another $5 million for expansion efforts.
