Remember when SAP used to be an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) company? No hang on. Remember when SAP used to be a data platform (SAP HANA), mobile (it bought Sybase), Business Intelligence (it bought Business Objects) and then a cloud and developer company? Yes we know; it keeps reengineering itself in an exacting Germanic fashion — if not a wholly organic one. Now SAP is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) company. At least that’s the latest reinvention is designed to tell us.

Why Men Are 86% More Likely To Be Funded Than Women

A report studying diversity in Britain’s startup ecosystem indicates men are 86% more likely to be funded than women. The findings are part of an ongoing project called Startup DNA. Telefónica’s accelerator, Wayra, led the research, seeking to determine whether diversity drives acceleration. The short answer is yes. But the gender facts that emerged from polling more than 220 early-stage digital startups in the UK are even more interesting.

PS4 Gets A Price Cut In Its Home Turf

Sony’s PS4 is getting a price cut in Japan, the company announced today. It’s down from ¥39,980 to ¥34,980, which translates to about a $41 cut, effective October 1st. President of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia Atsushi Morita said the cut “provide an opportunity for users who have not yet been exposed to this device to dive into the world of PlayStation 4” in a statement provided to Polygon.
