LG schedules event for October 1, new flagship rumored to star

Despite the fact that the Life’s Good crew managed to launch one of the more better-equipped and popular Android handsets of 2015 with the G4, it looks like that might not be good enough.

According to CNET, LG has begun sending out invitations for an event scheduled for Thursday, October 1. The event is being held in New York City, but as the initial report indicates, just what LG has planned to announce isn’t known at this point. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like the invite leaves any bread crumbs to follow, either.

Of course, there are rumors. It’s believed that LG will officially debut a device that’s been making the rounds on the Internet as of late, called the V10. That device is said to feature a secondary display along with plenty of high-end specifications under the hood.

‘Destiny:’ What Time does ‘The Taken King’ Go Live?

We’re mere hours away from embarking upon Bungie’s reimagining of Destiny in the form of The Taken King, a sizeable expansion pack that’s being marketed like it was its own game. The game goes live at 2 AM PT tomorrow morning — that’s 5 AM ET, 4 AM Central and 3 AM mountain. And that’s when eager guardians will finally get a chance to rage through the dreadnaught and fight the Taken. Oryx himself will have to wait  few more days.

Aggressive Selling Tactics Likely to Have Lifted Oracle’s Cloud Revenues, But at What Cost?

Software behemoth Oracle Corp. is slated to report its fiscal 2016 first quarter results on September 16th. (The company follows June to May fiscal year.) Oracle’s cloud business has grown steadily in the last few quarters on the back of aggressive selling tactics and competitive pricing. On the other hand, the expansion in cloud has come at the cost of a decline in its legacy on-premise software business and the overall profitability. The situation is being further exacerbated by strong currency headwinds. Consequently, we believe that Oracle’s cloud business is likely to continue its robust growth in the first quarter of fiscal 2016. But the cost of propping up the cloud business, and whether that cost is sustainable over the long term, remains to be seen.

Ericsson Makes Another Acquisition To Energize Its Support Solutions Business

Soon after AT&T selected Ericsson to work on enhancing its television experience platform, Ericsson announced that it had entered an agreement to buy video encoding company Envivio to further improve its television and media solutions. In the big picture, this was a strategic move by Ericsson to bolster its support solutions segment, which includes OSS (operations support system) & BSS (business support system), television and media solutions as well as mobile commerce.

La cámara de Google podría incorporar disparo de ráfaga inteligente, creaciones y más novedades

Instala la cámara de Google en versiones de Android 4.1, 4.2 y 4.3

Se rumorea que los nuevos Nexus de LG y Huawei, junto a la última versión de Android, Android 6.0 Marshmallow se presenten de manera oficial dentro de dos semanas, concretamente el próximo 29 de Septiembre. Mientras eso no llega nos tenemos que conformar con leer filtraciones de fuentes internas o muy próximas al gran motor de búsquedas de Internet.

Sin duda, Android 6.0 Marshmallow tendrá mucho protagonismo durante el supuesto evento del 29 de Septiembre. Nuevas funcionalidades y nuevas aplicaciones estarán en esta nueva versión. Una de estas nuevas aplicaciones será la cámara de Google, que será una actualización de la que ya conocemos actualmente.

Nuestros compañeros de Android Police han podido conseguir el nuevo archivo .apk de esta aplicación para poder ver, en su código, algunas de sus novedades más interesantes. Esta nueva versión, numerada como 3.0, mejorará la actual cámara incluyendo funcionalidades que hasta ahora no habían.

Cámara de Google para Android, cada día con más opciones

 

Una de estas características es la ráfaga inteligente. Esta funcionalidad lo que hace básicamente es, capturar imágenes de una manera muy rápida hasta que el usuario detiene el disparo. Una vez se han terminado de realizar las fotografías, estas se califican y algunas serán eliminadas y otras guardadas, dependiendo la calidad, si están movidas o no, etc… Algunas de ellas también serán elegidas para que sean imágenes de Auto-Awesome o GiF’s animados.

Otra característica que esconde la futura versión de la cámara de Android es la llamada creaciones. Esta sería muy parecida a la que existe actualmente en Google Fotos, aunque está vez estará incluida directamente en la cámara de Google sin tener que subir las fotos a Google Fotos para que se realice el efecto.

Los chicos de Android Police comentan que además de estas novedades, Google tiene preparadas otras sorpresas de las cuales no han descifrado todavía. Con Android 6.0 Marshmallow llegará también una aplicación mejorada de la cámara, aunque echamos de menos que está aplicación no tenga opciones más profesionales para poder realizar fotografías con un toque más profesional. Sea como sea, queda muy poco para ver finalmente las novedades en las que ha trabajado los chicos de Mountain View en su nueva versión para el sistema operativo de móviles. Veremos si Google lanza la nueva actualización después o antes de la supuesta presentación. Esperemos que salga más temprano que tarde ya que tenemos ganas de probar el delicioso dulce que el buscador tiene preparado para nuestros dispositivos.
