Vídeo concepto del Nexus de Huawei, ¿ Os gustaría que fuese así ?

Estamos ansiosos de conocer los nuevos Nexus de este año. Hasta la fecha sabemos, y gracias a las filtraciones, que por primera vez en la historia, los chicos de Mountain View, lanzarán dos dispositivos Nexus antes de finalizar el año. El primero de ellos será fabricado por LG y vendrá a ser una actualización en hardware y diseño, del Nexus 5, que también fue fabricado por los coreanos. Este dispositivo será más asequible y volverá a convertirse en el smartphone con las tres B: Bueno, Bonito y Barato.

El segundo de ellos será fabricado, por otro veterano fabricante del continente asiático, Huawei. De este terminal sabemos que vendrá a sustituir al Motorola Nexus 6, un terminal que no ha tenido el éxito que pensaba tener tal y como confesó la propia Google. El Nexus de Huawei, vendrá a ser un terminal phablet con calidades premium y con un hardware de los más potentes del mercado, eso si, se le espera que este dispositivo sea mucho más asequible que el Nexus 6.

La presentación de uno o de los dos terminales Nexus debe estar a punto de llegar ya que, hemos visto que Google ya tiene su nueva estatua de la nueva versión de su sistema operativo Android en el recinto de GooglePlex, y por lo tanto muy pronto Google deberá convocar a la prensa para presentar dicha versión.

También hemos visto como ya son varios datos que han salido a la luz a modo de filtraciones, de ambos terminales por lo que su presentaciones podrían llegar durante el mes de Septiembre. Durante Septiembre o Octubre, Google suele realizar una conferencia para presentar sus novedades antes de finalizar el año y como viene siendo habitual, cuando los de Mountain View presentan una nueva versión, también se presenta un dispositivo Nexus.

Pues bien, gracias a las filtraciones que han salido publicadas recientemente gracias a OnLeaks han dado para que diseñadores gráficos y fans a la tecnología realicen sus vídeo conceptos, como es el caso de Jermaine Smit. Smit, ha realizado su propio anuncio de como cree que sería el Nexus de Huawei basándose en la última filtración que publicó OnLeaks.

Los rumores sobre el futuro Nexus apuntan a que, el terminal incorpore una pantalla de 5,7 pulgadas, sensor de huellas, puerto USB Type-C y materiales premium en su fabricación como el metal. Por el momento nos tenemos que conformar con ver vídeos conceptuales basados en las filtraciones ya que, los chicos de Mountain View no han anunciado nada sobre una futura presentación sobre nuevos dispositivos Nexus, aunque esperemos que esto cambie muy pronto. Android Wear gets interactive watch faces, Google Translate

Today Google has announced the next update for Android Wear. When it arrives on your particular smartwatch, this will bring some interesting new features with it.

First off we have interactive watch faces. So with a tap the watch face you’re using can change its design, reveal more information, or launch a specific app. For example, a face that gives you the current temperature aside from the time may want to let you tap on that in order to get a more detailed forecast.

This obviously works for anything, though, be it a fitness-focused watch face or the new one Google calls Together. This lets two people stay connected to each other by basically making the entire watch face a space for sharing stuff with each other – photos, emoji, or even their current activities.

Moving on, Google Translate has landed on Android Wear. In an interesting move, it will be built into the latest software update, so it’s not a standalone app you can download right now. Translate will work on your wrist even if you don’t have the corresponding app installed on your phone.

To use it, just speak into your watch and what you say will be instantly translated into one of 44 supported languages. You can send the translated text to a friend with a flip of the wrist, and when that person answers in their language you flip your wrist back to see in your language what they’ve said. And so on.

Since Translate automatically recognizes what language is spoken, once you start a conversation with someone you only have to keep talking naturally, and it will take care of the rest. For text-to-text translation, Google Translate works with 90 languages at the moment.

The new version of Android Wear will be rolling out to all smartwatches running Google’s wearable OS “in the coming weeks”. Now that you know what’s new, the only thing you need is patience.

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact promotional image allegedly leaks

Sony’s next Compact flagship smartphone is the star of what is said to be a leaked promotional image, which you can see below. This is allegedly going to be one of many official promo pictures that the Japanese company will make public once it announces the Xperia Z5 Compact.

Speaking of which, said announcement could come on September 2, when Sony has confirmed it will hold an event at IFA in Berlin. On that occasion we might see both the Xperia Z5 and the Z5 Compact see the light of day for the first time.

Officially, that is, because we’ve seen them both a couple of times so far in leaked live images, showing off their unmistakably Sony design as well as their side-mounted fingerprint sensors embedded in their Power buttons.

The promo shot that’s been outed this time around also confirms that in terms of design, Sony isn’t planning on giving up its OmniBalance language, at least not this year. The phone is shown here in white, but it will surely be offered in black and probably another more ‘daring’ color as well.

Android Wear llega a la versión 1.3 incluyendo watchfaces interactivas y más

Android Wear, el sistema operativo de Google hecho por y para wearables, ha ido metiéndose en nuestras vidas –y sobre todo, en nuestras muñecas– poco a poco. Hoy, este maravilloso sistema operativo que, por otro lado, no termina de despegar, ha sido actualizado a la versión 1.3 con novedades muy interesantes que buscan que este sistema sea aún más completo. Os las contamos todas.

La primera novedad, y quizá una de las más visuales, es la inclusión de watchfaces –o carátulas– interactivas. Hasta ahora, al pulsar sobre la pantalla de nuestro smartwatch accedíamos a las aplicaciones y los ajustes, pero ahora cobran algo más de importancia. Ahora, si pulsamos en determinados sitios de la pantalla accederemos a más información o a alguna aplicación en concreto. Las tres primeras watchfaces que hacen esto son, según Google, Bits, Under y Pujie. No dudéis en echarle un ojo.

La siguiente es Together Watch Face. Básicamente es una aplicación que nos permite sincronizar nuestro reloj inteligente con el de otra persona que la tenga instalada también. De esa manera podremos compartir información e interactuar con ella. Obviamente, esto requiere que uno de tus contactos tenga un smartwatch y lo tenga actualizado a la versión 1.3. Simplemente tendremos que buscar la aplicación Together en nuestro reloj y seguir los pasos.

Together Watch Face

La tercera novedad es la inclusión en el sistema de Google Translate. Ahora podremos traducir nuestra voz a más de 44 idiomas. Simplemente tendremos que hablarle al reloj y este nos lo traducirá al idioma que le digamos. Si estamos hablando con una persona, el reloj detectará las dos voces y nos permitirá mantener una conversación. Solo tendremos que hablar nosotros y, cuando hable el otro, girar la muñeca para que nuestro smartwatch nos de la traducción de lo que ha dicho.

Por último, aunque no por ello menos importante, se ha habilitado la conexión Wi-Fi para el LG G Watch R. Estas son todas las novedades que Android Wear ha introducido en esta nueva versión de su sistema operativo. Solo tendréis que esperar a que os llegue el aviso y actualizar vuestros smartwatches.
