Nintendo’s amiibo have struck a chord with consumers. There’s something fantastically Nintendo about the little figures (even if they did crib a page from the Skylanders), from the characters themselves, to the obsessive collectibility, to the supply chain issues. They’re a real bright spot in a still checkered slate for Nintendo, and it’s that that makes its recent announcement even more important. A free update Windows 10 might be, but it’s giving some people – me included – a massive headache. So far I’ve updated two laptops, a tablet and my main desktop to the stable release of Windows 10. The tablet and my desktop were both previously on the preview builds.
