Windows 10 Shortcuts: That Windows Key Does More Than You Think

Down at the lower left of most standard Windows PC keyboards there is a key with the Windows logo on it. It sits between the Ctrl an Alt keys to the left of the space bar. Most people know that pushing it brings up the Start menu (or toggles to the Start screen depending on your version of Windows), but the Windows key actually does a lot more than that. Microsoft just released a cheat sheet of keyboard shortcuts to enlighten you about all of the things you can do with the Windows Key in Windows 10.

‘Fallout 4’ Could Be Even Bigger Than ‘Skyrim’

It’s going to be a big year for video games. The fall release season gets going a week from today with Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Mad Max, and then kicks into high gear in October. But even among all the high profile releases we’ll be getting in the next few months, Fallout 4 stands out. Bethesda revealed its next post-apocalyptic open world opus to a breathless world at E3 this summer, easily dominating even a very stacked news schedule, and there’s no sign that the excitement is dying down. Bethesda makes big games, both in terms of sheer amount of content, sales, and impact on the gaming world, but their marketing chief Pete Hines thinks Fallout 4 could be their biggest game yet, beating out even the landmark Skyrim.

Acer Liquid Z630 and Liquid Z530 leak ahead of announcement

Acer is going to unveil at least four new smartphones at IFA in Berlin next month, but we now can shed some light on those. Previously we were tipped about those being Windows-powered smartphones, but apparently that’s not the case.

Acer Liquid Z630 already showed its face via the GFX’s database, but we can now reveal everything about the smartphone. It’s an Android Lollipop-powered handset with big 5.5″ 720p IPS display and MediaTek MT6735 chipset. The SoC offers a quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 processor, a Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB RAM.

The rest of the Liquid Z630 specs include LTE connectivity, dual-SIM telephony, 16GB storage, an 8MP rear and an 8MP front snapper, and a 4,000 mAh battery. The expected retail price is €200.

Acer Liquid Z530, comes with a 5″ 720p IPS screen and the same MediaTek MT6735 chip with 2GB RAM. LTE connectivity is also available for this one and the expected retail price is around €140.

Previously we saw an Acer S59 leak, which has the same display and SoC as the Z530, but oddly two high-end cameras with 4K video recording. Maybe the GFX was wrong about the cameras, as we doubt the MT6735 can handle more than 1080p video capturing and the S59 is in fact the upcoming Z530.

The two Liquid smartphones, among with at least two others, will premiere in Berlin next month. We’ll be there to follow up on those, so stay…

Tianjin Catastrophe Reinforces Need For Supply Chain Risk Management

A recent University of Tennessee-sponsored survey of leading supply chain executives helped quantify the continued apathy surrounding the proper assessment and management of supply chain risk. For starters, the survey found that none of the companies surveyed use third parties to independently assess their risk, 90 percent don’t even quantify the risk themselves, and while 66 percent acknowledged the existence of corporate officers focused on managing legal compliance, none of these same professionals touched the supply chain.
