Some People Are Getting Free Copies Of ‘Metal: Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’

There’s an interesting thread going on over at reddit concerning Konami’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and, to a certain degree, the totally broken PC release of Batman: Arkham Knight. Apparently, people that received a free copy of Batman: Arkham Knight as part of a graphics card bundle have been able to play the sorry state of that game into free copies of Metal Gear Solid 5, courtesy of promotions and customer relations . The original poster talks about getting his through PC component retailer Newegg, but others report similar success with Best Buy. Judging by the responses in the thread, quite a few people have been able to make the switch. Here’s user littlestminish:

Lumia Camera app found to work on non-Microsoft hardware

Apparently, the Lumia Camera application for Windows Phone 8.1 works with non-Microsoft hardware. The application has been found to work on the likes of Huawei Ascend W1 and Samsung ATIV SE.

However, not all Lumia Camera functions work on the above mentioned smartphones. Tweaking shutter speed, focus, and switching to the front-facing camera are said to make the app crash on non-Microsoft devices.

Regardless of the app’s limitations, we reckon that it still offers plenty of functionality to make it worth trying out. If you are among the few Windows Phone 8.1 users who don’t use a Microsoft device, head over to the Microsoft Store to try it out.

As you probably know by now, Lumia Camera will be the default photography app on Windows 10.
