Google Play Books introduce mejoras en la lectura en su última actualización

Gracias a las nuevas tecnologías, los amantes de la lectura tienen todo tipo de herramientas con las que emplear sus ratos libres en cualquier obra literaria. Centrándonos en lo nuestro, y de nuestra propia casa, tenemos a Google Play Books, un cómodo método donde, además de leer cualquier libro que nos venga a la mente, también podemos adquirirlo fácilmente desde Google Play Store y a un precio de escándalo.

Si a menudo das uso a la aplicación y echas en falta alguna que otra opción, quizás ha sido implementada en la nueva actualización que ha aparecido sin previo aviso, ni siquiera se ha esperado a los habituales miércoles.

Nuevas funciones y cambios en Google Play Books

El primer cambio y que es un paso adelante en cuanto a visualizar próximas versiones de Android es el añadir la compatibilidad para ofrecer lo mejor de sí frente a la nueva versión Android M, con nombre final Marshmallow.

Por otro lado, una novedad para la lectura es las nuevas opciones de recordar zoom y toque para realizar desplazamiento. Como podéis observar, buscan facilitar la interacción del lector y centrarse más en la lectura, olvidando el tener que acceder a menús para realizar sencillos ajustes como estos.

Y por último encontramos algo muy habitual en toda actualización, los llamados correcciones de errores y mejoras en la estabilidad, muy esenciales por supuesto.

Es cierto que emplear nuestro teléfono personal en aburridos momentos y leer, como el trayecto en transporte público al trabajo es cómodo, pero no podemos negar que es una experiencia menos interesante, por lo que debemos seguir recurriendo a los ebooks, la mejor alternativa a la lectura en papel. No obstante, a falta de libro electrónico es bien sencillo emplear nuestro terminal y nos quita de llevar más dispositivos allá donde vayamos.

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ pre-orders start in the UK

Since the Galaxy Note5 won’t be sold over there, if you’re in the UK and want to grab one of Samsung’s two new high-end phablets, you’re stuck with the Galaxy S6 edge+. If you don’t mind that, however, you’ll be happy to know that pre-orders for this handset have finally started in the UK.

If you want to buy it SIM-free and unlocked, Samsung itself is giving you the opportunity to pre-order a unit in either black or gold – for a whopping £749. That is, if 32GB of storage seems enough to you. If not, and you want 64GB, you’ll need to shell out £829. The pre-ordered devices are scheduled to ship on September 3.

If you don’t feel like ponying up that much cash upfront, you can also opt for a contract with an operator. Vodafone, O2, and Three are all offering up the Galaxy s6 edge+ with a myriad of different Pay Monthly plans. One of them will surely suit your particular needs. The operators all seem to expect shipping to start on September…
