LG Nexus 5 2015 may have posed for a photo

Many of the recent 2015 Nexus leaks have included renders or spec rumors, but that may finally be changing today.

Marques Brownlee, aka MKBHD, has shared a photo that may be the LG Nexus 5 2015. The photo shows a Nexus-branded phone that looks similar to the render that leaked out the other day, complete with a protruding camera, flash, laser auto focus, and a round fingerprint reader directly beneath the camera. Since the photo only shows the back of the device, though, we can’t see the phone’s alleged front-facing speakers or USB Type-C port.

This LG-made Nexus is said to include a 5.2-inch display and is reportedly the smaller of two Nexus phones that’ll debut this year, with the larger one coming from Huawei. The Nexus 6 and its 5.96-inch display has turned some folks off, especially for those hoping for a new phone sized similarly to 2013’s Nexus 5. If the new leaks turn out to be true, though, fans of the OG Nexus 5 could end up getting their follow-up this year.

This is a live photo of the upcoming Nexus smartphone by LG

A live photo of the next Nexus smartphone by LG made the rounds on Twitter, courtesy of MKBHD. The upcoming handset is expected to debut in the near future alongside a phablet by Huawei.

The image showcases the handset in white color scheme. In line with past leaks, the photo reveals a fingerprint scanner, as well as a protruding camera sensor with dual-LED flash and what appears to be a laser focus. A large Nexus logo completes the setup.

Rumored specs of the next LG smartphone include 5.2″ display, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C port. Naturally, the smartphone will ship with Android M on board.

There is a Darth Vader-themed PS4 on the way and it looks awesome

Sony has a Darth Vader-themed PlayStation 4 bundle coming our way. The special edition gaming console will hit the shelves in two guises on November 17, though pre-orders are due to begin soon.

The Star Wars Battlefront limited edition PlayStation 4 bundle will consist of a 500GB console with an image of Darth Vader and a gaming controller inspired by the Sith lord’s chest panel. Content-wise, buyers will get Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition and download voucher for Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Bounty Hunter. The classic games will be playable on on PS4 for the first time.

Walmart on the other hand, will exclusively offer the console with Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition and the above four classic titles. Additionally, the bundle will include four action figures of characters from Star Wars.

There is no word on pricing of the decked out PlayStation 4. It is reasonable to expect a price premium over the regular console.

Better Imaging Through Mathematics

CT Scans are so common these days that practically everyone has heard of them and has either had one or knows someone who has.  The high resolution images the machine produces are truly remarkable and allow physicians to spot tumors, hemorrhages, and bone trauma, among other maladies.  But I suspect most people don’t know what “CT” stands for (computed tomography), or, if they do, they don’t know what it means.

OnePlus 2 Review: First Impressions Of A Thrilling Smartphone

The OnePlus 2 is the follow-up to one of the most critically acclaimed smartphones of 2014, and like many others I’ve been eager to see if the Shenzhen-based manufacturer can capture lightning in a bottle for a second time. I want to spend some time with this handset before giving the OnePlus 2 the full review treatment, but before then I wanted to write a little bit about the handset, my first impressions, and if it is worth considering a purchase.

Almanacs, Rodents, and 10 #Weather Pet Peeves or Myths

Well, it’s that time of year. Media organizations are covering the “forecast” from the Old Farmer’s Almanac. This year it is saying more freezing temperatures and more snow. I am not going to write about the accuracy of almanacs. There are good discussions about this by Eric Holthaus in Slate, Meteorologist Scott Sabol or Capital Weather Gang.
