Social Media Customer Service: 3 Speakers, 12 Best Practices

More and more customer service interactions are being initiated over social media. The vast majority of these are via Twitter, according to figures just released by–wait for it–Twitter, with the rest of them occurring via Facebook.
In light of this, I convened an informal and virtual round table over the weekend to get expert thoughts from, well, some experts: thought leaders Bill Quiseng (an independent blogger as well as a professional hospitality practitioner), Sara Carter from Sparkcentral, a customer engagement platform provider that helps businesses cut their social media customer service response times, and me, Micah Solomon, a customer service speaker, consultant, and author.

Un domingo más, volvemos a la carga con un nuevo “Pregúntale a Andro4all”, para rematar la semana resolviendo todas las dudas que nos habéis planteado durante estos días. Como siempre, los temas serán de lo más variados, con el objetivo de dar respuesta al mayor número de preguntas posibles.

Así, hoy habrá tiempo para hablar de las microSD y de por qué no todos los terminales soportan la misma capacidad. Por supuesto, también hablaremos de dispositivos que todavía no están entre nosotros, pero que acabarán llegando en algún momento, como el Sony Xperia Z5, y por mencionar otro tema, abriremos debate con la mejor protección de pantalla, bien Dragontrail, o bien Gorilla Glass. Cómo hacer Backup de WhatsApp en Google Drive y restaurarlo después

Por fin ya tenemos disponible para descarga e instalación manual, la última beta de WhatsApp que ya nos permite el backup en nuestras cuentas de Google Drive. Un backup completo de toda nuestra cuenta de WhatsApp para que en caso de formateo o reinicio de fábrica de nuestros terminales Android la podamos recuperar sin problemas tan solo identificándonos con nuestra cuenta de Drive de Google.

En el siguiente post, a parte de compartir el APK de la última beta de WhatsApp con la funcionalidad del backup en Google Drive, también te vamos a enseñar como conseguir guardarla en Google Drive. Así que no perdamos más tiempo con presentaciones y vayamos manos a la obra……

¿Desde donde puedo descargar el APK de la última beta de WhatsApp con la funcionalidad del backup en Google Drive?

Descargarlo es tan fácil como conseguir la versión 2.12.228 de WhatsApp desde su propia página web clicando en este enlace o desde el repositorio oficial de APK Mirror clicando en este otro enlace.

Ambas son las versiones oficiales desarrolladas por WhatsApp y para instalarlas tan solo deberemos entrar en los ajustes de nuestro Android y desde la opción de seguridad habilitar la casilla que nos va a permitir poder instalar aplicaciones ajenas al Market de Google, o lo que es lo mismo, poder instalar aplicaciones de orígenes desconocidos.

Cómo realizar la primera copia de seguridad de WhatsApp en Google Drive

Una vez instalada esta nueva versión 2.12.228 de WhatsApp, tan solo tendremos que dirigirnos a los ajustes internos de la propia aplicación y clicar en Ajustes de Chats y llamadas y luego tan solo tendremos que clicar en copia de seguridad:

Para después seleccionar la opción que más nos convenga dentro de las que nos da la propia aplicación de WhatsApp, que van desde hacer la copia de seguridad de manera automática cada cierto periodo de tiempo, no hacerla nunca o tan solo hacerla de manera manual cuando nosotros cliquemos en el botón de hacer copia de seguridad ahora.

Con esto ya comenzará la subida a nuestra cuenta de Google Drive, cosa que podremos comprobar a través de la propia barra de notificaciones en la que se nos mostrará el progreso de la misma.

Por último, si borramos la aplicación de WhatsApp por completo, incluida la propia copia de seguridad que se almacena en nuestro almacenamiento interno, la carpeta llamada WhatsApp, y volvemos a instalar esta nueva versión de WhatsApp, tras la verificación de nuestro número de teléfono nos saldrá la opción de restaurar copia de seguridad desde Google Drive.

Google Translate

Google Translate got a major update in version 4.0 that now allows it to translate printed text in up to 20 languages. Just point your phone or tablet’s camera at the text and the app will convert it in real time and display on the screen instead of the original text.

It must be mentioned though that when it works it’s freakishly awesome but it can also show wrong translation at times or just straight up not work. Also, you will need to download several hefty language packs for it to work with all the supported apps as only couple of languages are pre-installed.

Microsoft Translator

After Google, Microsoft now has its own translator app on iOS and Android. The app lets you speak to it, either on the phone or your smartwatch, and then translates the spoken words into another language. You can also type text into the app and it will translate and/or pronounce it for you if you’re not sure how to say it. The app supports 50 languages for translations.
