Microsoft has a competitor for Google Translate, and today it’s launched it as an app for both iOS and Android. Furthermore, the Microsoft Translator mobile app comes with built-in support for both the Apple Watch as well as Android Wear smartwatches.
So using it you can translate stuff by just speaking to your watch, never needing to take out your phone. Of course you can also use the app on your handset or tablet too if you so wish.
Microsoft Translator currently supports instant translations between 50 languages. You can use it with your watch for spoken translations, or with your phone or tablet when you need to translate typed text. It works either way.
You’re able to pin your most frequently used translations and settings for faster access through your smartwatch. You can also browse your history if you want to.

T-Mobile has announced a new Android smartphone today. It’s the ZTE Obsidian, and it will become available from the magenta carrier, online and in stores, on August 13.
This is a lower-end offering, aimed at those who prefer a cheap device with the basics covered.
It’s got a 4.5-inch 854×480 touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2 MP selfie shooter, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of expandable storage, and a 1,800 mAh battery.
It’s powered by MediaTek’s MT6735M chipset, boasting a 1 GHz quad-core CPU. The Obsidian comes with 4G LTE support and it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

El fabricante ASUS cada vez apuesta más por el mercado de los dispositivos móviles y está logrando un catálogo cuanto menos interesante. Ya lo vimos con su ASUS Zenfone 2, un terminal que no le falta de nada y presume de sus características en la gama alta. O bien el ASUS Zenfone Selfie, un teléfono de gama media pero con una potente cámara frontal y trasera capaz de lograr, entre otras cosas, unas fotografías dignas de un buque insignia.
Por si fuera poco, la firma taiwanesa no ha querido dar por terminado sus apuestas para este 2015 y ha aparecido en escena un nuevo terminal, que a pesar de posicionarse claramente en la gama media y a rivalizar con el Motorola Moto G y parecidos, sorprende y asegura una extensa autonomía.
Como hemos dicho, el terminal es claramente un gama media, pero entre algunas de sus características encontramos un terminal que se posiciona más en la gama alta, ya que estas no suelen encontrarse habitualmente. Nos referimos a la impresionante batería que trae consigo de nada menos que 5.000 mAh. Esto promete, junto a su pantalla con resolución 720p una autonomía sin igual, tanto que incluso podríamos decir la mejor vista hasta la fecha. Y no sólo eso, si no que en su parte trasera, la tapa cuenta con un acabado en piel para ofrecerle un aspecto más premium si cabe.
La presentación del ASUS Zenfone Max no ha dado tantos detalles como quisiéramos, ya que desconocemos un día exacto en el que saldrá al mercado, aunque sí confirman en octubre y que el primero de estos serán en la India.
Con su precio ocurre lo mismo, no han mencionado ninguna cifra en absoluto, pero esperemos que este no alcance un precio demasiado elevado, pues es una de las más interesantes opciones que cuenta la gama media en estos momentos.
