Uno de los problemas de los smartphones que integran un cuerpo de metal es que no pueden utilizar un cargador inalámbrico: sus partes metálicas se sobre calentarían por lo que hasta ahora era inviable utilizar este sistema. Menos mal que ha llegado Qualcomm con su WiPower.
Y es que el popular fabricante de procesadores acaba de presentar la solución para aquellos dispositivos que integren un cuerpo de metal: WiPower funciona mediante resonancia magnética por lo que no provoca que el metal se sobre caliente
La tecnología que permitirá cargar este tipo de teléfonos está en fase final de desarrollo y el equipo de Qualcomm no tardará mucho en lanzar una versión comercial. Y es que gracias a la llegada de WiPower los fabricantes ya podrán trabajar con todo tipo de materiales en la parte exterior de los teléfonos sin tener que preocuparse de problemas de compatibilidad.
WiPower dependerá de Qualcomm, que será el que proveerá la tecnología, aunque el fabricante también tendrá su parte de responsabilidad ya que tendrá que incorporar la tecnología en sus dispositivos.
