‘Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2’ Spoofs ‘Minecraft’, ‘FIFA 16’

EA Games and PopCap have spoofed a handful of other major games, creating some really lovely artwork in the process. What if Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 took place in the world of Minecraft? What if it were a sports game? Or a science-fiction shooter like Halo 5?

Microsoft Is Repeating Xbox One Mistakes With Windows 10 Automatic Updates

Windows 10 is out is nearly in the wild, and it’s already experiencing its first PR disaster. Microsoft’s new operating system features mandatory automatic updates, and Gordon Kelly reports that it’s causing trouble for people with NVIDIA graphics drivers — in some cases causing their PCs to stop working properly at all. It’s a problem for practical reasons, because PCs should work. But it’s also a problem for conceptual reasons. The concept of mandatory updates is understandably a bit troubling for people that don’t want to cede that additional level of control over their machines. This is Windows we’re talking about: Microsoft’s flagship product and the center of their business. But they had a little bit of a dress rehearsal for this when they first announced the Xbox One, and they would have been good to learn from those mistakes.

Most Android phones at risk from simple text hack, researcher says

Most Android phones at risk from simple text hack, researcher says
The flaw, says researcher Zimperium, exists in the media playback tool built into Android, called Stagefright. Malicious hackers could take advantage of it by sending to an Android device a simple text message that, once received by the smartphone, would give them complete control over the handset and allow them to steal anything on it, such as credit card numbers or personal information.

T-Mobile’s HTC One M9 finally gets Android 5.1 update too

The HTC One M9 has already received the update to Android 5.1 Lollipop – be it the developer version, or those sold by both Sprint and AT&T. This hasn't, however, been the case so far for T-Mobile's model of HTC's latest flagship smartphone.

Until today. The magenta carrier has announced that the new software is finally rolling out to the handsets it's sold. As always with such over-the-air updates, it may be a few days (or even weeks) before all One M9 units purchased from T-Mobile get the download notification, but at least it's on its way now.

Aside from the platform upgrade to Android 5.1, the new release brings with it some battery improvements, Google Wallet, as well as anti-theft functionality built into the OS. After applying the update, you'll be running software version 2.7.531.6.

To apply the 833MB update, you need to have at least 50% or higher battery left, and use a Wi-Fi connection for the download.
