Samsung anuncia el Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 y Galaxy Tab S2 8.0

El famoso fabricante coreano ya tiene dos nuevos dispositivos preparados para ser lanzados el próximo mes y que entre alguna de sus cualidades se encuentran el ser unas de las tablets de menor peso y más finas que ha lanzado Samsung al mercado.

El Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 y Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 tienen un grosor de 5,6 milímetros y pesan 265 y 389 gramos respectivamente. Dos modelos que poseen detector de huellas dactilares ubicados en el mismo botón home de la tablet y que contiene algunas facilidades en torno al software como la multitarea que permite lanzar dos apps al mismo tiempo y que con “Pop-Up Windows” da a los usuarios que posean una de estas dos tablets Galaxy Tab 2 la habilidad para navegar rápidamente entre múltiples aplicaciones. Veamos el resto de especificaciones de estas dos nuevas apuestas del fabricante coreano para los próximos meses.

Dos nuevas tablets de Samsung

Dos nuevas tablets que se diferencian del resto que han sido lanzadas en los últimos tiempos desde Samsung y que han estado más rondando en lo que sería la gama baja-media, por lo que esta vez pasamos ante dos tablets que tienen mejores especificaciones.

El Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 se caracteriza por una pantalla de 8 pulgadas Super AMOLED con una resolución de 1536 x 2048, mientras el Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 posee una pantalla de 9,7 pulgadas Super AMOLED con la misma resolución de 1536 x 2048.

Ambos modelos funcionan con una CPU de ocho núcleos octa-core con cuatro de ellos funcionando a una velocidad de reloj de 1.9 GHz y otros cuatro a 1.3 GHz. Las dos tablets tiene 3 GB de RAM con un almacenamiento interno de 32 GB/ 64 GB. Unos dispositivos que cuentan con ranura para tarjetas microSD por lo que se puede llegar a los 128 GB.

En lo referente a las características de la cámara las dos tablets hablan el mismo idioma con una cámara trasera de 8 MP y frontal de 2.1 MP. La versión de Android pre-instalada es la 5.0 y cuenta en la batería con 4000mAh el Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 mientras el Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 con 5870 mAh.

Como suele pasar con este tipo de tablets, llegan en dos versiones, una con solamente Wi-Fi y la otra con Wi-Fi y conectividad 4G LTE. A lo único que no podemos acceder es al precio de los dos dispositivos que se sabrá justamente antes del lanzamiento para el próximo mes.

Tab S2

Dos tablets muy interesantes que a la espera de saber el precio final se presenta como el mejor acompañante para ese nuevo Galaxy Note 5 del cual sabremos más para dentro de muy poco ya que esperamos noticias para el 12 de agosto cuando se presente finalmente. Quizás esta fecha sea la seleccionada por Samsung para traernos estas dos nuevas tablets.

Sterling College, in Craftsbury, Vermont, is an Environmental Stewardship school that digs deeply into real life and the experiences of working with the land. They have a new offering that could be part of the solution to a number of very real problems facing us in America and worldwide.

Samsung Galaxy A8 to reportedly go on sale in South Korea this week

The Samsung Galaxy A8 smartphone, which was announced just last week, will go on sale in the company's home country of South Korea on July 24, according to a report.

The device, which is the South Korean company's thinnest phone (5.9 mm) to date, will be available for purchase from SKT for 649,000 Korean won ($563). Color options include white and gold.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Tab S2 9.7 are now official

As rumored last week, Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Tab S2. Available in 9.7-inch and 8-inch variants, the device is claimed to be the company's thinnest and lightest tablet of its size.

"The Galaxy Tab S2 is not only our thinnest and lightest tablet of its size ever, it also gives users quick, easy access to a wealth of superior viewing and productivity features," said JK Shin, CEO and President of IT & Mobile Division at Samsung. "We believe the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is the most complete personal visual device designed for consumers to carry and use anywhere."

Specs-wise, the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is powered by an octa-core processor (quad 1.9GHz + quad 1.3GHz), and sports an 8-inch Super AMOLED display with 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB expandable internal storage options, and packs in a 4000mAh battery.

In terms of camera, the Tab S2 8.0 features an 8MP rear unit and a 2.1MP front shooter. It is 5.6mm thin, weighs in at 265g, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 sports a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display, packs in a 5870mAh battery, and weighs in at 389g. Rest of its specifications are same as that of the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0. Both variants are available in Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and LTE configurations, come with a touch-enabled Fingerprint Scanner, and offer Multitasking.

As for the availability, the South Korean company said that the tablet will be available for purchase globally starting next month. There was no word on pricing.
