Apple’s updated line of iPod media players launched today may not be a surprise to anyone who caught the leak inside iTunes 12.2, but the decision on what hardware to include in the devices and what hardware to leave out, especially the Sixth Generation iPod Touch, says volumes about Cupertino’s focus for the future. It’s all about Apple Music and getting users signed up to the subscription service.

Pluto Is Rugged, Mountainous And Very Likely Geologically-Active

New images fresh from NASA’s New Horizons Pluto flyby paint a picture of a dwarf planet with a surface and atmospheric system that is far more textured, geologically-diverse, and complicated than most planetary scientists would have ever imagined. Predictions that the flyby of the 1473-mile diameter object and its largest moon Charon would cause a sea change in planetary theory may be coming to fruition. In fact, both Pluto and Charon are very likely geologically active, said a Wednesday afternoon assemblage of delighted mission scientists.
