LG took the wraps off a new-generation 5.5″ QHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) IPS LCD display with 538 ppi and 120% color gamut. The hot new component will appear in the upcoming LG G4 later this month, on April 28.
The Korean giant’s new display panel utilizes advance in-cell touch technology developed by LG Display. The tech delivers high touch sensitivity and can even respond to touch commands with water drops.
A photo-alignment technology used in the display utilizes UV light to achieve higher contrast ratio. The latter is achieved by aligning the liquid crystals to reduce leakage.
Furthermore, the contrast ratio of the new panel is 50% higher than that of conventional QHD LCD panels. Brightness on the other hand, has been increased by 30%….

Yesterday, Microsoft sent out invites to members of media in India for the launch of Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL . The invite carries the following punchline: "Inspiration doesn't only work 9 to 5."
Microsoft Lumia 640 features a 5" IPS ClearBlack display, Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, 8MP rear snapper with LED flash, 1MP front-facing camera, and 2,500 mAh battery.
The Lumia 640 XL has a 5.7" IPS ClearBlack display packing the same hardware as the Lumia 640 albeit with a Carl Zeiss optics powered 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
Microsoft will certainly introduce dual-SIM variants of both Lumia phones. In India, the Lumia 640 is rumored to be priced at INR 9,999 ($161), while the Lumia XL will be priced at INR13,999…

Live photos of the upcoming successor of Oppo R1 made the rounds online. The previously leaked smartphone is expected to debut at some point in the near future as Oppo R7.
The unannounced Oppo handset features double-sided 2.5D glass. The solution makes the smartphone quite a looker and improves its handling and ergonomics.

Huawei tiene un evento para el próximo 15 de Abril donde presentarán algunas novedades como el Huawei P8, pero parece ser que ese no será el único terminal que presentará la compañía asiática ya que, se han filtrado unas imágenes promocionales de un supuesto Huawei P8 Lite.
Esta versión más Lite del P8 será más económica y está pensada para la gama media así que el dispositivo podría salir al mercado con un precio que podría rondar los 250 euros.
Pero para ello todavía tendremos que esperar todavía un poco más, concretamente hasta mitad del mes. El supuesto Huawei P8 Lite se ha filtrado a modo de imagen promocional en la red social de Twitter. Con la publicación de la imagen también han compartido lo que podría ser las especificaciones de este terminal de gama media.
Si estos rumores se cumplen, estaríamos hablando de un terminal que tendría una pantalla de 5,2″ pulgadas con resolución a 1280 x 720 píxeles, en su interior contaría con un procesador de ocho núcleos de HiSilicon Kirin 620 de 64 bits, 2 GB de RAM, cámara trasera de 13 megapíxeles y cámara frontal de cinco megapíxeles. El terminal tendría DUAL SIM y correría Android 5.0 Lollipop. En el apartado físico vemos como el terminal tiene similitudes con su hermano mayor, con un cuerpo acabado en aluminio, aunque podemos ver algunos fragmentos de cristal.
Como cabe de cajón, la versión mayor de esta gama P de Huawei tendrá mejores prestaciones que la versión Lite. Si comparamos ambos terminales las supuestas características nos encontramos que el P8 tendrá una resolución Full HD, 3GB de RAM bajo el nuevo procesador de HiSilicon Kirin 935 de ocho núcleos y de 64 bits. Aunque la versión Lite y sobre papel, es un dispositivo a seguir y que plantará cara a su competencia más directa.
Por el momento se desconoce el precio que podría tener este nuevo Huawei P8 Lite, aunque si echamos un vistazo rápido por la gama media de Android, pensamos que el terminal podría estar por debajo de los 300 €. De momento tendremos que esperar un par de días más, hasta el 15 de Abril, día señalado en el calendario por la compañía asiática celebrará un evento en la capital del Reino Unido. Así como también esperamos tenerlo dentro de poco, y también el P8, en nuestras manos para poder hacer una review y explicar sus puntos flojos y fuertes. The HTC Desire 826 (which we handled at CES) got official at the beginning of the year, and now it's almost ready to be up for grabs in India. So far, it's been out in China.
According to one Mumbai-based phone dealer, the Desire 826 will land in India in the next 2-3 days. It will go on sale priced at INR 26,200, which at the current exchange rates means about $421 or 387.
The handset boasts a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 4 MP UltraPixel front-facing snapper, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD expansion, dual-SIM support, and a 2,600 mAh battery.
It's powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 chipset, which has an octa-core CPU, with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz and another four only going up to 1 GHz. The Desire 826 runs Android 5.0.1 Lollipop.
