Six months ago, Pokémon GO seemed like it was at the cutting edge of a bold new front for Nintendo, mobile games. Working with The Pokémon Company and mobile dev Niantic, Nintendo seemed poised to evolve (no pun intended) the series into something for the mobile generation, a location-based phone game that allowed you to catch and battle Pokémon out in the real world.
