Those in the Laurel camp were suddenly, by powers completely outside their control, hearing ‘Yanny.’ There was no obvious culprit. Same person, same device, same audio clip, same room (no change in environmental acoustics)… ‘Laurel’ listeners were hearing ‘Yanny’ and vice versa.
