Islamic financial services firm OneGram together with Dubai-based online gold trading platform GoldGuard are creating the world’s first completely “gold-backed digital currency” that is Sharia compliant. Setting a cryptocurrency crowdfund goal of $500m, it would be the largest in history to date.
