The sale of Toshiba’s NAND flash unit has gotten bids by Foxconn, Apple and Google in addition to Broadcom, Hynix and WD. WD says sale violates their JV agreement with Toshiba. Japan is concerned with increased Chinese connections making the proposed sale an international incident.
