NASA Has Switched Off A Groundbreaking Satellite After 17 Years [Infographic]

It was built to last only one year, but on March 30th this satellite was switched off after 17 years of service. It’s been called the “little engine that could” but its real name in Earth Observing–1 (EO-1) and it helped redefine satellite technology.
