Recent wireless technology announcements have sent several signals on who the winners and losers may be in IoT communications: specifically, ARM’s acquisition of NB-IoT IP and Qualcomm and Silicon Labs delivery of multi-mode System-on-Chips with combinations of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE 5 and 802.15.4.
