DO NOT BUY NODECRAFT – Bad quality host disguised as a “good” quality host, don’t be fooled.

After they decided to remove my post on the minecraftforums, I have no other choice but to post this here

This is a warning for people who are looking to buy a "quality minecraft server" I will try to keep this as short as possible!

The host "Nodecraft.net" might seem like a good quality hosting company, which was my first thought, and I believed it for a long time, but in reality, they aren't. You would think an expensive host like this has GREAT qualities, well I have news for you, I've been with them for 2 years, and here's my experience:

1) OVERPRICED! $10 per GB of RAM. Which means $80 for 8 GB of RAM and ONLY 40 GB of SSD!

To put this in perspective, you get 3 GB RAM, and 50+ GB of Storage space for only $23 from other hosts. (Don't want to specify, it would look like advertisement, unless someone asks)

2) The "servers" crashes up to 6 and more times per month (Their actual device would go offline, so you wouldn't be able to start, restart or modify your server, that goes with the their FTP server aswell. And these crashes will always be anywhere from 1 to 16 hours

3) Once you put money into the co-op vault, (in my case, it was $130), you will NEVER be able to get it back (You can only use it for their server). EVEN if you no longer use their service and/or if they Terminate your server.

4) Theres lots of cheaper and better hosts out there.

5) They TERMINATE your service if you use more "SSD" space than allowed, with a 2 day warning. Which also means you lose all your co-op vault money. And why did I point this out, you may ask? BECAUSE YOU BEARLY GET ANY SPACE

6) They offer DDoS protection, but it doesn't even work. Me and my friend tested this with the program "LOIC" which is free to download, and done from your home computer. The result? The server lagged, every one of my players noticed it, pretty much made it unplayable. Just imagine what a real DDoS tool could do. While I was DDoS'ing myself, I contacted the support (Livechat) to see if they could "find" the reason. So he checked their devices, and came to the conclusion that there was infact, a DDoS attack on my server, but wasn't able to do anything about it, and couldn't trace it. In short terms, he told me to wait for it to get over.

Seriously, there are SO many other hosts out there to choose from, PLEASE trust me on this, and don't use Nodecraft
