A minecraft story
I had bought my nephews minecraft for xbox. Every single day they would ask me to play it with them. I would 99 percent of the time say no because I didn't want to. When I had got them the game I had already put in a ton of time into the game and had gotten sick of it. Well one day I decided to surprise them and I built a little cottage outside of their village. It was nothing special maybe a 5×5 plot.
Once a week for maybe the next 4 months the older of my two nephews would tell me to please hop on the world and check out what they had done. I never would. I didn't care. I was done with minecraft and I had no interest in playing.
Well last night I hopped on the old world. The first thing I see is a giant monument to fallout 4. I played fallout 4 once at my sisters house in front of them and apparently they remembered and decided to make a giant shrine for it on the off chance I would see it.
My heart melts a bit at this point and I feel a bit ashamed of my self. I see a stone path leading from this fallout 4 monument to my shitty cottage I built. I see a cobblestone wall with a bunch of signs and a chest in front it. It says "NVSK!(my real name tho) here is a present for you!" I look in the chest and it's diamonds, iron, enchanted books, redstone and gold. This is a survival world so this took them some time. This is what they wanted to show me so long ago that I didn't have the time for.
This hit me very hard. I was so absorbed in myself that I wouldn't even give them the time of day cause I didn't want to do something. It legit brought tears to my eyes.
