A few days I visited Tijuana, Mexico and stopped by business consultant Fernando Arjona’s office to talk about his city’s economy. Looking out his seventh story window Arjona scrutinized the long-haul trucks driving by on the highway outside, though the city’s center, carrying goods from the big box factories that are clustered just south of the border crossing at Otay Mesa. “We haven’t seen a boom like this since 2007. We’re at 2% vacancy,” Arjona told me.
