One of the best points about mecha anime is that it is actually hugely diverse. A great case in point is the unique anime saga of The Vision of Escaflowne. A sumptuous and vibrant take on the fantasy genre, it broke many conventions in the course of its production. Now after twenty years, it’s finally come Westward on a format that does it justice.
