This week on Episode 15 we had the opportunity to sit down with Emileigh Barnes, a poet and content designer for 18F, a division of the General Services Administration that could basically be described as a tech startup inside the federal government. Barnes started her education in journalism and then completed an MFA in poetry before finding her way to tech and public service. Now she spends her days thinking about the best way to convey information to the public, whether using plain language to better understand campaign finance laws or how to design a government website for kids.
